Greetings to all the iron chefs !! that make up this exquisite community, it is a pleasure to present one of my recipes here again and this time with the special ingredient of week number 4 Auyama, Squash or Pumpkin, different names, the same nutritional benefit, it should be noted that it is an ingredient rich in vitamin A which helps us for our vision.
Today I wanted to prepare a very unusual way to eat the Pumpkin thinking of the little ones in the house who find it difficult to eat vegetables, I say it from experience that my children do not like the Pumpkin but when I make them this way they do not even know that it is Pumpkin what they eat. A rich PUMPKIN NUGGET is a very attractive option. Below I present the ingredients and their preparation:
Ingredients:
-500 grams of Pumpkin
-1/2 onion
-2 cloves of garlic
-2 eggs
- salt, oregano, ground paprika, ground black pepper.
-Bread crumbs
-Wheat flour
-Oil for frying - Grated cheese or the one of your preference (to taste).
- We cut the pumpkin and then we grate it.
We pass the pumpkin through a grater
- Now we grate the onion and garlic.
We grate the two garlic cloves.
- Add the oregano, pepper, paprika and salt.
Salt to taste
- 1 egg is placed
- Add 4 tablespoons
- Add cheese to taste and add 8 tablespoons of ground cheese
- Make pumpkin balls
- We pass our balls through egg, wheat flour and finally the breadcrumbs.
- We fry in abundant oil and keep it very hot, until our nuggets are golden brown.
- Finally we serve with tomato sauce, it is a super rich combination.
