HOW TO SCORE MAXIMUM POINTS ON EACH ROUND OF STEEMIT IRON CHEF AND CLIMB THE LEAGUE RANKING - PART ONE! 3 Tips inside, check them out!!!

in Steemit Iron Chef4 years ago

Greetings of the day Iron Chefs!

Hope you all have a great weekend and ready to kick off another beautiful week ahead!

Main Objective of Steemit Iron Chef!

On top of rewarding participants in terms of Weekly Steem Prizes and the Grand Reward Pool, we also have some lucky ones who get some nice upvotes from the curators...specially from Steemcurator01....

Infact my main objective of this cooking contest is to help foodies around to uplift their blog in learning how to create top notch food posts...

The first round of SIC 2021 got 67 participants, which is a very big number indeed! I was expecting only around 20 entrants...

It was great to see how foodies of Steemit appreciated this contest, thank you all for that amazing support.

I saw some great entries from the participants...but we also had some quite low quality ones - This is why I want to help out here!

Now what!?

From time to time, I will be writing some posts to help everyone on Steemit Iron Chef or any foodies around Steemit on how they can better create their food posts and score a lot of points in the contest and attract curators on their blog!

I hope these tips will be useful to you all!

Ps. Food is where I excel...that's why I mainly blog about food and love helping around!

Reminder

Before sharing my tips to you, I would like to make it clear for everyone :

I am a great food lover and I love all type of foods, be it classics, modern, refined, fusion, etc...
But with Steemit Iron Chef, I am looking for ultra refined plates from our contestants.

WHY???

The reason is simple ; cooking normal home food can be done by so many people, well in each house of the whole world, someone knows how to cook, right!?

And the food cooked at home is really what I love/enjoy the most!

But cooking with precision, making a simple dish look like a piece of art is not something anyone can achieve just like that!
For many it demands lots of sacrifice, practice and dedication to reach that level!

For me cooking such super refined dishes and plating like an artist is an art actually!

I have spent the last 19 years of my life learning how to make such plates and now I want to help anyone who wishes to make it too!

And all for free, I love sharing my knowledge with all foodies!

Are you ready for my tips!???

Let's go!!!

Tip number 1

  • Choose the right and perfect product for your dish!

IMG_1611048516426.jpg

Take your time when buying or selecting the products that you will cook...

Choose the best meat/fish/vegetables/fruits that you can find!

IMG_1607849827433.jpg

Go for the most fresh ones and also those having a good form!

I usually buy only small type of vegetables, baby vegetables like we say! They will look sexy on your plate!

Tip number 2

  • Look out for fresh herbs and comestible flowers!

IMG_1612686729673.jpg

Choose the right herbs and flowers which will paired with your dish! Not all herbs and flowers go with all food you are cooking!

Adding fresh herbs and comestible flowers make your dish looks fresh and amazing!

I will advise that you look for the flowers of the herbs you are using - they are lovely on your plate and more powerful in flavor!

Example : See above example of mint flower! You can use both the mint and it's flowers on your dish!

Tip number 3

  • Draw the plate you want to make before starting to cook!!!

You don't have to be a super designer to make a croquis!

Just draw approximately the dish you want to make...then take some time thinking about it!

Plan your work...just don't rush to make your SIC entry...you have a full week to organize!

By doing this you will see the amount of new ideas coming up and you can change and adapt your recipe!

You have to already think of the plate you will use for the presentation...before drawing!

Once you are satisfied with the idea, only then start the cooking!

So here we are my dear foodies friends, 3 very useful tips for you to make amazing dishes that will help you create great food posts on your blogs later on!

Part 2 will come soon...with some tips on plating!!!

It would be great if you can start with these basics for the time being, you will already see some great improvements on your final plate!

Please do let me know below what you think about this idea of sharing some tips with you all!

I hope you really enjoy and will learn these steps to make lovely plates which will make you win a lot of points in the contest!

Please resteem to reach a greater audience!

Till the next one!
Thank you!
