Introduction

Hello everyone! My name is Ade and my handle on this platform is @adeade. I am a Nigerian and I am here to describe my visit to the Chinese village in Lagos Nigeria.

Although I have heard about the existence of the Chinese village, I have never visited the venue. It's on this fateful day that my boss needed a Chinese cooking pot and the only place we could get that kind of pot was in the village.

We got to the village and behold my dear reader, it's really a Chinese town in Nigeria. I have never seen that population of Chinese concentrated at one point. The environment is very similar to the ones we watch in the movie. I doubt if there is any Chinese product you can get anywhere else in Nigeria that you can get at that location.

Description of the Chinese
village

The Chinese village or sometimes referred to as Chinatown is located at 29 Taiwo St, Ojota, Lagos 105102, Lagos. It is one of the evidence of Chinese cultural presence within the Nigerian geographical location. The village was create in order to showcase Chinese traditional products and for other business reasons.

The diplomatic relationship between the Chinese and Nigerian

Although the diplomatic relationship between the Chinese and Nigerian goes beyond business and economic benefits, the relationship still revolves around economic exploration between the two countries.

For example, Nigeria is one of the major sources of oil and petroleum for the Chinese high energy demand economy.

Meanwhile, the Nigerian economy is so dependent on the Chinese. So, they are both beneficiaries of each other. The two country's diplomatic relationship has always been described as a win-win relationship.

How expensive are the products

Usually, products that are very expensive or expensively produced in the west are cheaper in China or cheaply produced in china. Some say because those products are substandard.

According to a report, China has more skills required for production at a cheaper rate. This is one of the reasons why Chinese products are generally cheap.

Then to answer the question above, I would say the prices of products vary depending on the quality of the product. One thing Chinese people do is to produce products according to your ability or purchasing power. Chinese do not produce products which people won't be able to afford. So the quality of the product they supply is a function of the quality you demanded for.

In conclusion, Chinese village or Chinatown is like a small china in Nigeria where you can experience some Chinese business/ trading activities. So, whenever you visit Lagos, you can pay the Chinese a visit.
