Preparation and training for camp [Greetings of Scouts]

The Indonesian #Scout Movement states that efforts and efforts to achieve the goals of the Scout Movement are directed at coaching to shape character, character, mental, emotional, physical, talent, and increase obedience according to each religion adopted.

As we generally know that #Scouting is an educational process carried out outside the school environment and outside the family in the form of interesting and memorable activities for us as well as fun, healthy, organized, directed, practical, which is carried out in the open with the basic principles of #scout and the #scout method, whose ultimate goal is the formation of character and character and the achievements of each member.

With this description, it is very clear that #scouting activities are carried out with the concept of activities that are generally carried out in the open. Activities like this are one of the hallmarks of the implementation of #Scout activities that distinguish #scout activities from other activities outside of scouting activities, whether carried out outside the school environment or in the family environment.

Due to the Covid-19 issue that is endemic in Indonesia, some time ago some Front Groups only carried out #scout activities in the school environment. Even for camping activities are also carried out in schools, by utilizing simple campsites and using the study room as an activity center.
Even though camping activities are activities that have been very popular since the founding of the Scout Movement organization in Indonesia, camping activities are activities that are very popular with students and #Scout members in each School Front Group.

Especially before the holidays, even during holidays camping activities are also often carried out as an agenda for activities that have been eagerly awaited and prepared by Scout members, on the sidelines of holiday events with family or other events. Camping activities are more fun if they are in the open, such as in the forest, both in the mountains and on the beach, which are mostly carried out in forests, hills, mountains, beaches, or other places suitable for camping activities.

I participate in weekly routine training activities and joint exercises at the end of the month, then accompany students in regional activities or events to national events. This is the task and trust that has been given by the Front Gugus Pembina in school, this is also how I take the time to care for the #Scout members in the Front Group. I think this is an opportunity to educate and be a separate lesson for me to evaluate myself and repeat back to #Scout material and theory.

I am present in the midst of the students, being a mentor and guiding the weekly routine training activities is my job at school. I do not only master the theory, in scouting education I am active in leading the training of students. What I often do is give examples as a guide and then give assignments to them, the student Scout members. In this case, I try to transfer the knowledge and skills that I have mastered in certain fields in #Scout.

My goal is to educate students to become good Scout members and be useful to society. A member of the #Scouts is a role model who is known to be great in the eyes of many people, so it is only natural that we do our best to shape character and explore their respective achievements from the best.

I think that #Scout activities which are synonymous with camping are very positive, so by carrying out activities in the open, students are expected to avoid boredom in the routines of daily life and make them think more broadly and adapt to the environment. By participating in outdoor activities, students or #Scout members can unite with nature, because the outdoors will provide many examples of lessons for students. Therefore, it is very right on target if one of the media that is effective in shaping the personality of a Scout is exploring in the open.
