I've been in my job as a teacher at a junior high school since 2002, so for about 20 years I have devoted myself to educating the lives of the nation's children. There are many things that I have been through with my students, the moments and experiences during my teaching until now are valuable things.

For me, being a teacher at a junior high school has its own challenges, because as a teacher it is not just a transfer of knowledge, but we are required to be able to guide and educate the behavior and attitudes of students so that they become directed and in accordance with established norms. apply***.

The challenge for me is the age of students at this junior high school level who are in the puberty period where curiosity is very high, and defiance and difficult to direct are points that become challenges for students. teacher in approaching my students.

Daily mingling with my students both inside and outside the classroom is a fun activity for me, getting to know many different types of student characters is an art in itself for a teacher.

In my opinion, the profession of a teacher is complex compared to the profession of an ordinary office worker. because the workload of a teacher is greater in dealing with students who have diverse social life backgrounds, so an extraordinary level of patience and understanding is needed in interacting with these students.

A teacher must be able to understand that every student has a different character and level of intelligence. So a teacher must be objective in making assessments. And approach to his students.

At the school where I teach, I also act as a homeroom teacher where I must be able to manage all students in the class so that learning is comfortable. The number of students I mentored as homeroom teacher was around 32 students, this number was not a small number. But as much as possible I try to be wise with all my students.

The moment of excitement as a homeroom teacher is when you create cohesiveness when holding certain events such as bazaars and recreational activities.

I also have to be responsible to my students' parents when I take them to an event. The interaction between parents and teachers must also be well established so that student learning is created in an ideal and conducive manner.

The teaching profession that I have lived so far is also my main source of livelihood in meeting the needs of me and my family so far. As a civil servant, I get a salary from the government in carrying out my main profession. Even though the amount I received was standard and not a fantastic amount, I feel grateful because the wages I have received so far have been very beneficial for me and my family.

Thus my brief description of the profession that I have lived so far as a teacher, in essence I feel proud to be a teacher and feel grateful to be able to live this profession. I hope that my participation in this contest will be accepted.
