A Daily Dose: Be the light!
Whenever a friend is sad, I'll smile in front of them. I want them to know that I am here. And that they can lean on me in times of uncertainty. That is what a friend does, right?
A friend is someone you have on your back. It's a person who will support you. They're the ones to whom you can say your worries, if not to your family. And that's what I want my friends to feel.
When we feel sad and confused, we can't think properly. Often, we struggle and despair. It's depressing to fight alone. And that is why there is a necessity to have somebody by your side.
Do you know why no man is an island? It's because we cannot live by ourselves without any help. There will come a time when we will need a helping hand. And that is life's nature.
Even if you deny it, someday it will happen. Destiny will make its way. And when the time comes, be grateful. Be grateful that someone is on your side.
Not everybody gets to have someone like that. Some give up and endlessly wait to be saved by someone. And to such people, it is their last hope. It's sad, but it is a reality.
That is why being the reason why someone is happy is significant to a person. Even a smile can change a life. It's simple and easy to do, but not all of us have the compassion to do so. But still, some people care.
That's what I do. I try my best to be a light to the people I get to meet. And I always remember to leave a smile on their faces. After all, I know how it feels to be left alone in the dark, waiting endlessly.
