A seahorse painting.
This is the painting that I prepared for my video-lesson for my friends’ kids, and for my nieces and nephews, so that they can do art staying at home.
The materials I used:
watercolors
watercolor paper
pencil
kneaded eraser
The colors I used:
blue
turquoise
black
Let’s start
Step 1. I made a pencil sketch. First the seahorse’s body, then I added spikes and the fin (or is it a wing?).
Step 2. I Started painting its tummy, moving towards its back and tail. Please note the color change from turquoise to blue.
Step 3. Then, I proceeded to do its head, mostly with blue and a little touch of turquoise on its cheek.
Step 4. Now finishing up the painting in general. Added more blue details and lines, also painted the eye.
Step 5. At the very end I splashed a little bit of paint tapping my brush.
I hope you enjoyed the painting process.
