Back home! Deu/Eng

Hallo liebe Community,
ich bin wieder da! Zurück von unserem Roadtrip durch den tiefen Süden der USA. In den nächsten Wochen habe ich viel Material auf das Ihr Euch freuen könnt. Eine unvergessliche Reise mit tollen Highlights und fantastischen Bildern. Schade dass es so schnell vorbei war aber 2 Wochen vergehen eben wie im Flug. Apropos Flug, heute die besten Bilder unserer Flüge von Frankfurt nach Charlotte und dann nach Washington zum Start unserer Reise.

Zu Beginn kam gleich mal der Hammer. Da unser Flug auf Grund der Memorial Day Ferien in USA stark überbucht war, wurden wir gefragt ob wir einen tag warten und den gleichen Flug am nächsten tag nehmen könnten. Unterkunft in Frankfurt im Steigenberger, Transport, Essen und bessere Plätze mit mehr Beinfreiheit am nächsten Tag alles von American Airlines bezahlt. An sich nicht schlecht aber der Hammer kam erst noch. Dafür dass wir den eine Tag warten, was für uns kein Problem war, da wir eh viel Zeit für Washington eingeplant hatten, bekamen wir pro Person eine Gutschrift von 950 $ von der Fluggesellschaft, die jetzt innerhalb eine Jahres für Flüge verwendet werden können. Insgesamt also 2.600 €, weitaus mehr als die Flüge ursprünglich gekostet hatten. Die nächste Reise ist also schon finanziert :-)

Also seid gespannt auf unseren Roadtrip, der dann mit einem Tag Verspätung startete!

I'm back! Back from our road trip through the deep south of the USA. In the next few weeks I have a lot of material that you can look forward to. An unforgettable trip with great highlights and fantastic pictures. It's a shame that it was over so quickly but 2 weeks just flew by. Speaking of flights, today the best pictures of our flights from Frankfurt to Charlotte and then to Washington to start our trip.

At the beginning there was a real blast. As our flight was heavily overbooked due to the Memorial Day holidays in the USA, we were asked if we could wait a day and take the same flight the next day. Accommodation in Frankfurt at the Steigenberger, transport, food and better seats with more legroom the next day were all paid for by American Airlines. Not bad in itself but the blast was yet to come. For waiting a day, which wasn't a problem for us as we had planned plenty of time for Washington anyway, we received a credit of $950 per person from the airline, which can now be used for flights within a year. So a total of €2,600, far more than the flights originally cost. So the next trip is already financed :-)

So look forward to our road trip, which started a day late!
