Steemit Learning Challenge-S21W3; Cervical Radiculopathy"
Assalamu Alaikum. I hope everyone is well. I am also well by the grace of Alhamdulillah Allah. Let's talk about the content of the third week of the Engagement Contest. Exercise is an important task. Which overcomes physical weakness, health comes to the health of the body. Many thanks to @ashkhan Maam for giving this exercise a beautiful course.
I will present here according to the knowledge I have gained from the course given by him. Before I start writing, I invite some of my friends. By which they will also participate here and impress me. They are @pea07, @wilmer1998 @dasudi and @suboohi maam..
Cervical radiculopathy is a condition of the nervous system, caused by nerve pressure on the spinal cord and neck nerves. Patients suffering from cervical radiculopathy suffer from neurological problems, as a result of this disease, the patient feels numbness and weakness, pain.
Causes of Cervical Radiculopathy:-
Bone spur: This causes the bones around the spine to grow, causing pressure on the nerves.
Trauma: An accident, or a major accident, can damage the spinal bones, which can lead to nerve problems.
Dix Herniation: As a result, the spinal cord can be eroded and the jelly can come out and cause nerve pressure.
Degenerative dices disease: The spinal cord loses with age, causing nerve pressure.
Symptoms:-
The symptoms of cervical radiculopathy are severe pain in the hands and feet, feeling of numbness or tingling in the hands and feet. Feeling weak in the body.
Prevent:-
It is possible to prevent cervical radiculopathy, for this regular physical exercise is needed. Especially neck and shoulder exercises, refraining from lifting heavy objects and sitting in the right way.
The diagnosis of cervical radiculopathy first requires a medical checkup of the patient. So first of all, the patient's medical history should be taken, such as asking the patient his problems in the form of questions. Where the patient is in pain, where the pain is spreading. Whether the pain is spreading to the patient's hands and fingers, whether the hands and feet feel dizzy or numb. When did the pain start, and whether he was involved in an accident.
After taking the patient history, the patient will be asked for diagnosis.
For example,
neurological exams:– As a result of this test, the strength of the patient's hands and feet is reduced.
Spine examination: If the patient feels any pain in rotating or moving the neck in this test, then it is assumed that the patient may have cervical radiculopathy.
Imaging tests:- This test is done to make an accurate diagnosis.
For this, X-ray, MRI, CT scan is done.EMG: This test can diagnose nerve and muscle problems.
Isometric cervical rotation: This exercise strengthens and improves the neck muscles. Helps relieve neck pain, and increases blood circulation.
Isometric neck reaction: This exercise helps to maintain neck stability and strengthen muscles. Reduces neck pain, and helps increase blood circulation. This exercise relieves cervical radiculopathy.
Isometric neck extension: exercise is beneficial for the neck and spine. This exercise maintains the elasticity of the neck and spine, helps reduce neck pain, increases blood circulation, and helps to concentrate.
When I conducted the isometric exercises on myself, I felt an increase in neck strength, increased neck elasticity, and a decrease in numbness in the hands and feet. Earlier, I used to feel tingling in my hands and feet due to sitting in a row, but after doing the exercises, I felt a lot of relief.
By administering the exercises on a sick person, they got relief from pain, increased their neck strength, and they felt better.
However, this exercise can not be created too much pressure to start first, it can be opposite.

Thanks for inviting me, I am working on it. Hopefully, I will submit my participation soon. Good luck with your participation.
Thank you apu.. I am waiting for your valuable entry 🙂
Thank you, I read your participation It's infomative but I think there is a little mistake, although it’s not really mistake but I you can fix it easily. The last question was about our review. You place the 3rd question there.
Thank you, i see
Thank you for understanding the lesson and sharing your assignment; I hope that you will enjoy this week's lesson and try to implement it in your life if you see any such case.
Observations
Task 1 (2.6/3)
You have shared a good knowledge about cervical radiculopathy, and it's cause, symptoms, treatment, but you have to add the vertebrae involve in cervical radiculopathy & it's second name too. I appreciate your effort.
Task 2 (2.5/3)
In the second question, you tell us about how you have to assess a patient by doing the investigations of patients but you have to share the evaluation, and specialized tests. You have share good knowledge but the best test for nerve examination is NCS nerve conduction study to assess. Also you have to add 1 or 2 special tests to evaluate the patient with cervical radiculopathy. Great.
Task 3 (2/4)
You try the isometric cervical rotation, extension and retraction. But while performing Isometric exercises you have to apply resistance & apply that much force that didn't allow head movement. Remember always apply heating pad to relax your muscles before performing these exercises. I appreciate your efforts.
Overall you made a great attempt to answer all the questions except question 3. I appreciate your efforts. But next time try to avoid the above written suggestions. Keep learning and try to implement your knowledge to the people suffering from any cervical radiculopathy. Thank you.
