Random Blog on Crypto (Part 54) : How can we make steem better (4. Rewarding New & Small Users)

In the case of Steemit.com based on the Steem blockchain, it is said that every activity of yours is rewarded here, that is, if someone posted a quality post here but did not get any likes, then this rule does not apply because it is a waste of time spending in vain. Again, some users have made many comments with time and through them Steemit is progressing because seeing that they are commenting & posting the platform is slowly getting rich but due to lack of power they are not able to earn anything through their comments but here they have to spend time.

Ad placement on the website that I talked about in the last post can be paid based on the reputation of the user, the number of words in the post and the quality of the posts and comments through automated software that have received less than a certain number of votes. Because you understand that many new users are writing here but their friend list is not that big so they will lose interest if they don't get votes. They will only find interest when they can see that they have put some effort into commenting but they can earn something for it. A poster or a commenter will find interest only when he sees that even after his post or comment is not voted, he can earn something from here i.e. his every activity brings rewards here i.e. this is not a platform to waste time in vain.

For those who have power and have been working for a long time or have a circle of friends and fan followers, it is very easy to get upvotes, but for those who are posting important small posts, commenting a lot, they are actually advancing the platform because the more users there are and the more posts possible the more popular a platform is. So behind all this, the engagement of users and their activities are playing a role, but if those users and those who are creating engagement cannot be brought under the reward, then this matter will become the same as the traditional social media such as facebook, twitter. So rewarding small and new users from any sources of fund is essential.

The weight is reduced because of the lack of Voting Power. If you vote for me as a witness, you can get my little vote.

I agree with you that for the people who are new on the platform it takes a lot to get some attention from the community but this is what I believe is the initial challenge and once they are over through it then things are easy for them as well. It is obvious that in case of any new thing or work we need to struggle a lot in the beginning and the same fundamentals are applicable here as well.

I so much appreciate your wonderful post at this time, for a fact, rewarding small and new users serves as a source of encouragement and shows how different steemit is from centralized social media platform like Facebook and X.

You raised crucial points here. If new and small users gain something for each post they make, they would be motivated to do more and do better. If on the other hand, their efforts are not being rewarded, they can easily give up.

The idea about revenue from ad placement is a really good one. I've never really thought about that.
