I love the tiny cacti with huge flowers like Parodia and Gymnocalycium, what kind of flowers do the Parodia cross have?
They are quite similar to the pure Parodia below but somehow larger and more lush. Parodia are difficult to handle though, they have very sharp spines
Gymnocalycium are a pleasure to handle in comparison
I like Astrophytum even more
Parodia and similar are the reason why I don't like cacti much
Welding gloves and similar help a lot although it is a pain to weed the pots
Even worse, the barrel cacti and those with hooks, they get caught in the gloves
True, ferocacti are bad although dyckia and other Bromeliad families are close
