JAZ Aquamarine Resort

JAZ Aquamarine is a 5-star Resort, located in the Red Sea Governorate, Hurghada, Egypt. This time I would like to share a few photos of the JAZ Aquamarine Hotel and its surroundings, plus just a sneak peek of my solo trip to the Karnak Temple. Keep in mind, all of these photographs are unedited and these are all natural colors.

The trip to Egypt took place in January 2022. It was a 7-day all-inclusive stay, paid for by UAB "Inter-Silo", which is the company where I worked for a total of 4 years (seasons) in the span of the last seven years. 25 colleagues of mine and their spouses (a total of 50 people) temporarily exchanged the cold Lithuanian winter for some natural vitamin C generated while enjoying the bright Egyptian sun.

Some say that the real Egypt stretches on the other side of the Hotel gate, (where the sidewalk ends) and I can understand that. I am not much of a pool guy myself. This is why I only tried it once during the whole 7-day stay and partly because my 2-year daughter asked me to join her. However, I think this is yet another face of Egypt that is equally as charming as the dusty streets of the most remote villages.

One thing is for sure: there is nothing more constant than change. While in our imagination Egypt might be all sandy and yellowish, there are some tiny man-made parts of Egypt that are "Western" and bright. Yes, they are mostly trapped between the high walls of countless hotels and resorts, but this modern beauty, should not be underestimated. Let's enjoy all forms of beauty if we have a chance.

Anyway, most of the visitors choose the 50/50 way. It means, they spend some of their time enjoying the mix of warmth and other pleasures in such resorts as JAZ Aquamarine and another half by exploring the farthest corners of this ancient land. For my wife @Kamile and me, this was the first non-work-related trip abroad since the birth of our daughter so as a family with a little child we had to adapt.

To have at least a little bit of the taste of that (at least from our perspective) wild and exotic Egypt, I went to Luxor alone. Long story short, I had to go to the center of Hurghada and find a bus that would take me to the bank of the River Nile. However, I would like to keep the joy and the difficulties of this trip for another time. For now, let's let the photos speak for themselves. Ladies and gentlemen, JAZ Aquamarine Resort...
