The trip was almost six hours long. I remember being asleep the entire time. We left Manila a little after midnight and arrived at the port of Alaminos, Pangasinan a few minutes after sunrise. It was raining when we left, but was greeted by warm sunlight of Alaminos Port. It really was a pleasant surprise. 

I must admit, I was expecting the rain to pour hard. I was thinking gloomy weather, thick and heavy clouds, not enough sunshine. I was really not expecting warm weather. 

Hundred Islands reminded me so much of Palawan. The beautiful scenery, white sands lining up the shore, the numerous islands that line up the horizon, zip lining from one island to the next, cliff diving, and snorkeling. We hopped from one island to the next. It was crazy how much energy we all had. It really was a pleasant trip, much needed in fact, as it has been a while since we travelled to a beach. 

What surprised me even more is that the entire trip isn't just about swimming, and snorkeling - your usual. I think the best part of the trip was the trek visiting the different stations of the cross. I am not at all religious, but visiting the beautiful sculptures felt amazing. I am a huge fan of art, so seeing the statues that lines up the trek was such a treat. 

I really wouldn't mind going back here. And if you ever get the chance to visit the Philippines, make sure to put this in your bucket list of places to visit. I highly recommend.
