Brazil's travelling piano man sings for Mother's Day
Hands gliding over the keys swaying along to the rhythm of the melody Brazilian pianist Rodrigo Cunha and his roving musical truck are bringing joy to mothers stuck inside forced to spend the day isolated from their children or grandchildren
It's a moving Mother's Day concert bringing a bit of joy to South Palos gritty downtown it's an amazing feeling to be able to share my art so that people can feel good and I feel good to be here and collaborating and to be part of this history that we're going through behind the scenes the local community pulled together to bring this concert to life Kuhn his truck was provided by a local car dealer for free his suit was provided by a city tailor inspired by a similar musical homogeneity Olga Amato
The organizer of the initiative says she was able to gather all the necessary volunteers within 24 hours she hopes kunas music will remind all mothers that despite this time of self-isolation they are not alone if I said wamba this will be a hug for all mothers who are now without their children for one reason or another it's a hug for the city of Sao Paulo and especially for Mother's Day like me I will spend the day separately from my children and grandchildren zipping down the Minako highway weaving its way along the south paulo skyline a motto says she hopes this music truck teaches everyone to minimize our differences and stand united by the universal power of music
