Altri medici cubani in Calabria 🇮🇹🇬🇧

La scorsa settimana vi avevo parlato di un probabile arrivo di medici cubani in Sardegna, nel frattempo e' giunta agli organi i stampa la notizia dell'arrivo di altri 90 medici dall'isola caraibica alla nostra Calabria.
Questi medici dovrebbero esser dislocati negli ospedali dal Pollino fino allo stretto di Messina.
Alcuni saranno operativi nella provincia di Cosenza, precisamente a Castrovillari, Acri, Cetrano, Cariati, Paola, Corigliano Rossano e S.Giovanni in fiore.
Sei medici andranno all'ospedale Annunziata di Cosenza.

Ricorderete che i primi 51 medici cubani sono giunti in Calabria nel gennaio 2023, a settembre 2023 ne sono arrivati altri 120, a fine gennaio altri 98, ora questi ulteriori 90 che porta la cifra complessiva a 359.
L'accordo fra la regione Calabria e Cuba e' di 497 medici quindi e' probabile che nel 2025 arriveranno quelli che mancano per raggiungere il numero stabilito e concordato.

Occhiuto presidente (centro-destra...) della regione ha dichiarato;" Prendiamo tutti i medici cubani che possiamo per potenziare la dotazione di personale del pronto soccorso e delle ambulanze per far fronte alla cronica carenza di personale medico, in particolare nei pronto soccorso e nelle unita' di emergenza, garantendo cosi' un servizio sanitario piu' efficiente e capillare in tutto il territorio".

Ricordo che quando arrivarono i
primi medici cubani nella regione furono accolti con differenti stati d'animo; gioia (poca), freddezza, ironia, astio piu' o meno palese.
Ovviamente ci mise becco pure il dipartimento di stato Usa, ma le sue pretese furono rigettate all'istante, almeno in alcune cose siamo ancora uno stato sovrano, forse.
Tutti questi sentimenti si sono poi trasformati in tantissime manifestazioni di affetto da parte della popolazione per il loro operato.

OTHER CUBAN DOCTORS IN CALABRIA

Last week I told you about a probable arrival of Cuban doctors in Sardinia, in the meantime the news of the arrival of another 90 doctors from the Caribbean island to our Calabria has reached the press.
These doctors should be located in hospitals from Pollino to the Strait of Messina.
Some will be operating in the province of Cosenza, specifically in Castrovillari, Acri, Cetrano, Cariati, Paola, Corigliano Rossano and S. Giovanni in fiore.
Six doctors will go to the Annunziata hospital in Cosenza.

You will remember that the first 51 Cuban doctors arrived in Calabria in January 2023, in September 2023 another 120 arrived, at the end of January another 98, now these additional 90 which brings the total number to 359.

The agreement between the Calabria region and Cuba is for 497 doctors so it is likely that in 2025 the missing ones will arrive to reach the established and agreed number.

Occhiuto president (center-right...) of the region declared; "We take all the Cuban doctors we can to increase the staffing of the emergency room and ambulances to deal with the chronic shortage of medical personnel, especially in emergency rooms and emergency units, thus ensuring a more efficient and widespread health service throughout the territory".

I remember that when the first Cuban doctors arrived in the region they were greeted with different states of mind; joy (little), coldness, irony, more or less obvious hatred.
Of course the US State Department also got involved, but its claims were rejected instantly, at least in some things we are still a sovereign state, perhaps.
All these feelings have then transformed into many demonstrations of affection from the population for their work.
