I should have been much more present, as today the tomato puree was scheduled to be made, I normally went to clean the place on Monday morning, but around lunch time, precisely at one in the afternoon, I had an appointment at the dentist , according to him, nothing particular, because he had to do a small operation, necessary to fix a couple of teeth, from my point of view I felt the shock quite a bit, because until mid-afternoon I slept on the sofa due to the annoyance and the tiredness I had accumulated...

I knew they had continued with the work, because I didn't have a 100% deep and restful sleep, but at a certain point I got up and went to check what they were doing, seeing and considering that there actually wasn't much left to do, they advised me to go and take another nap, so I took the leap, but not before taking some images, the ones you see reproduced in this post, which establish some points of the work carried out, up to the phase final, the one found below...

The actual boiling of the tomato puree, my contribution was mainly to repair the doll's gas dispenser, to correctly light the fire under the large pot you see, since if there are small leaks the temperature of the the flame is lowered, with the consequence that the aluminum of which the container is made tends to blacken, and cleaning it is certainly not easy, as well as potentially releasing substances that are not exactly healthy, but fortunately the little I did helped something, losses eliminated and the flame temperature can easily be defined as perfect, no signs of clouding of the surface of the pan, this evening the bottles of puree will have to be taken out of the pan, it will probably be the heaviest work I have done, this is only the 1st series of puree that we will make with the tomatoes from our garden, on the next round I promise to be more present...

Avrei dovuto essere molto più presente, in quanto oggi era prevista la realizzazione della passata di pomodoro, sono andato normalmente a pulire il locale del lunedì mattina, ma verso l'ora di pranzo, precisamente all'una di pomeriggio, avevo un appuntamento dal dentista, a detta sua, nulla di particolare, perché doveva fare un piccolo intervento, necessario per la sistemazione di un paio di denti, dal mio punto di vista ho accusato abbastanza il colpo, perché fino a metà pomeriggio ho dormito sul divano per il fastidio e la stanchezza che avevo accumulato...

Sapevo che erano andati avanti con i lavori, perché non ho avuto un sonno profondo e ristoratore al 100%, ma a un certo punto mi sono alzato, e sono andato a controllare quello che stavano facendo, visto e considerato che effettivamente non era rimasto molto da fare, mi hanno consigliato di andare a schiacciare un altro sonnellino, per cui ho preso la palla al balzo, non prima però di scattare qualche immagine, quelle che vedete riproposte in questo post, che fissano qualche punto del lavoro eseguito, fino alla fase finale, quella che si trova qua sotto...

La bollitura vera e propria della passata di pomodoro, il mio apporto è stato principalmente quello di riparare l'erogatore del gas della bambola, per accendere correttamente il fuocone sotto al grande pentolone che vedete, in quanto se ci sono delle piccole perdite la temperatura della fiamma si abbassa, con la conseguenza che l'alluminio di cui è composto il recipiente tende ad annerirsi, e pulirlo non è di certo agevole, oltre a rilasciare potenzialmente delle sostanze non proprio salutari, ma per fortuna quel poco che ho fatto è servito a qualcosa, perdite azzerate e temperatura della fiamma che si può definire tranquillamente come perfetta, nessun principio di offuscamento della superficie del pentolone, questa sera le bottiglie di passata saranno da tirare fuori dal pentolone, probabilmente sarà il lavoro più pesante che avrò fatto, questa è solamente la 1° serie di passata che realizzeremo con i pomodori del nostro orto, al prossimo giro prometto di essere più presente...
