I'm so sorry for your children! It looks like the Japanese schools (Japanese people don't know what holidays is, as they work and attend school since the 1st of January until the 31 of December). I had 2 Japanese schoolmates in France about 20 years ago. A day, our French teacher took the vacation topic and the Japanese girls hadn't the least idea about. It was hardship for the teacher to explain and finally, my Japanese schoolmates stated they were staying at school along 365/366 days per year.

Sort:

Here it only counts for older students if they have to work next to studying and internshios should also be fulfilled during vacations and weekends not school/lesdon times even if they learn nothing, teachers are frequently absent and have their holidays out of season time.

My youngest told new rule no phones. All phones should be given to the teacher they have the first lesson with. Each lesson a different teacher, all students do not join the same classes. At the end of the day the last teacher should give the phone back.
The average prize of a phone is 300 euros and in the first week 400 phones are stolen!

Note we talk about adult students here! Adults who are locked into school. If they have one or two hours no teaching they are not allowed to leave, have nothing to do, no mensa, and can't kill time with their phone.

Normal?

I guess school is also daycare for many. It sounds like a burden imagine 365 days with a bully. I asked my youngest but she doubts this is true. Perhaps a different system? Did they speak French?

🤔🍀♥️

Those Japanese girls went to Nice (France) to learn French. They were among my classmates. I suppose they still speak some French, if they have the opportunity to practice. Maybe Japanese school changed and today it's not so burdening, but at our times it was that way (about 20 years ago).
So mobiles stolen in the school in Netherlands cause given to the teachers? What a shame! Does the school repay the stolen mobiles? It should be a duty of the school. I understand schools in Netherlands aren't the best places to attend. Unfortunately it's the only way to get diplomas and certificates, I suppose...

These are schools in Hungary but in NL isn't much better. I remember how jewelry was collected before gymnastic and swimming class. After the lesson that box was always nearly empty.
Refunded is nothing they will say: you should have left it at home!

I once bought a huge stuffed animal for my daughter a German Sheppard. She took it to class to show. The teacher ordered she had to leave it behind in the class during the 20 minute break. After the break was over the dog was gone. 😐

The teacher shrugged and said it was my daughter's fault (she was 4 or 5). Till today she is angry about it because it was her birthday present and she only had it for a day or two. And I still search for a replacement 😥

Aren't there in Netherlands trials against schools? Such schools deserve to be sentenced to pecuniary terms. But who do steal in schools? I hope not the same teachers to be the thieves.

I tried but school inspection does nothing not even if a group of toddlers is raped and the inspectors are good for locking up (prison) parents, sueing them or they take the children away.

Good question who steals if all children are sent outside and only teachers are in the school (except for two who should be on guard).

Don't the laws against schools work in your country? All parents together should protest and strike against such a shameful scholar pattern. The government should close such schools.
