Thanks God, my husband is doing well. My dear, I have just booked a place for our next holidays in the seaside, this time into a condominium placed in a natural reserve where beautiful animals like sloths (I love sloths, crazy for them😂) . I noticed seaside improves my husband's breath, as he suffers from a sleep apnea. And I catch less colds during the year. I needed to book 4 months in advance, as here you won't find the right place to stay, otherwise. That's why these days I can't post at knack4buzz, no time, as I was terribly busy with the right place research...and there is capoeira too...and there is the driver's licence update exam too...

It's great to hear you booked a holiday. My son sadly said he had none and we went nowhere.
The lives of my children/students is harder than the one of the average working adult.

School and working during weekends and holidays. I truly wonder if that is allowed. Everyone has the right of free days. 🤔

We all know sea and sea air is good for the health it's the reason why illpeople were always sent to the shore (kurhauses, sanatoria) no matter the weather wrapped in a blanket and outside.
I hope you both will have a great relaxing time and now you have something to look forward to. 😁

What's the driving exam for? Needed with every new license?

I'm so sorry for your children! It looks like the Japanese schools (Japanese people don't know what holidays is, as they work and attend school since the 1st of January until the 31 of December). I had 2 Japanese schoolmates in France about 20 years ago. A day, our French teacher took the vacation topic and the Japanese girls hadn't the least idea about. It was hardship for the teacher to explain and finally, my Japanese schoolmates stated they were staying at school along 365/366 days per year.

Here it only counts for older students if they have to work next to studying and internshios should also be fulfilled during vacations and weekends not school/lesdon times even if they learn nothing, teachers are frequently absent and have their holidays out of season time.

My youngest told new rule no phones. All phones should be given to the teacher they have the first lesson with. Each lesson a different teacher, all students do not join the same classes. At the end of the day the last teacher should give the phone back.
The average prize of a phone is 300 euros and in the first week 400 phones are stolen!

Note we talk about adult students here! Adults who are locked into school. If they have one or two hours no teaching they are not allowed to leave, have nothing to do, no mensa, and can't kill time with their phone.

Normal?

I guess school is also daycare for many. It sounds like a burden imagine 365 days with a bully. I asked my youngest but she doubts this is true. Perhaps a different system? Did they speak French?

Those Japanese girls went to Nice (France) to learn French. They were among my classmates. I suppose they still speak some French, if they have the opportunity to practice. Maybe Japanese school changed and today it's not so burdening, but at our times it was that way (about 20 years ago).
So mobiles stolen in the school in Netherlands cause given to the teachers? What a shame! Does the school repay the stolen mobiles? It should be a duty of the school. I understand schools in Netherlands aren't the best places to attend. Unfortunately it's the only way to get diplomas and certificates, I suppose...

These are schools in Hungary but in NL isn't much better. I remember how jewelry was collected before gymnastic and swimming class. After the lesson that box was always nearly empty.
Refunded is nothing they will say: you should have left it at home!

I once bought a huge stuffed animal for my daughter a German Sheppard. She took it to class to show. The teacher ordered she had to leave it behind in the class during the 20 minute break. After the break was over the dog was gone. 😐

The teacher shrugged and said it was my daughter's fault (she was 4 or 5). Till today she is angry about it because it was her birthday present and she only had it for a day or two. And I still search for a replacement 😥

Aren't there in Netherlands trials against schools? Such schools deserve to be sentenced to pecuniary terms. But who do steal in schools? I hope not the same teachers to be the thieves.

I tried but school inspection does nothing not even if a group of toddlers is raped and the inspectors are good for locking up (prison) parents, sueing them or they take the children away.

Good question who steals if all children are sent outside and only teachers are in the school (except for two who should be on guard).

Sounds like a full life. Lots to do. At least you don't have hurricanes to deal with and the power going off every other day.

Hurricanes are not that common in my country, despite during certain Autumns they may appear (but not during the Summer and people here goes on holidays out of city mainly in Summers), but they aren't the same devastating as in the USA an the Philippines. Here we have many floods destroying our cities and they can appear whatever season of the year.

Are the hurricanes still terrorizing the country? I read some satire news of "de Speld" (the pin) about the fact this isn't news with us.

Do you have water now?

♥️🍀

Thanks for asking. It seems the weather pattern this year has created a corridor for hurricanes. So there is a very large one headed this way tonight and tomorrow. Category 5 is the highest category. So expect there will be power out and no water (well pump electric) again for some time. Last time it 5 days. The electrician came yesterday to rewire the control box for a more powerful generator. But everyplace is sold out of generators. The little one I have will keep the frig running and light. Sooooo. Back we go to the 18th century. But you can feel the difference in the atmosphere when there is no electro magnetic activity anywhere.... Serene.....

There are two trees that could fall on the house that are on my neighbor's property. He has hired tree people to take them down but they can't get here for another couple of weeks (wonder why) Hope they stay standing through one more storm. The house is solid structure... concrete block. flooding not a concern. The drainage is good. See you soon... maybe...

That doesn't sound good. No hurricane but I hear some noises from the roof. I believe it's the post with the electricity cable. Also told my son the trees should be removed, one is broken partly.

Just like you I need electricity for the waterpump. What will the neighbour do if his trees fall on your house?

I hope you are safe.
Know you are in my mind. I hope to hear from you soon as well.
