In a literal sense, people may have different definitions of pride. But I see it as an act whereby you have the boldness to show your city or village of residence to the world. My city (Uyo) is the capital of Akwa Ibom State, Nigeria and it's a land of promise. In this case, permit me to highlight 10 different places from my city of residence (Uyo).

This parish is situated in Shelter Afrique, one of the luxurious estates in Uyo. Regina Coeli parish is one of the parishes that is known for its exclusive building structures. The interior and exterior alone can tell you that there's more to more.

This is one of the verified beauty salons which is the world of beauty. In Andidihz place,they specialize in cosmetics, make-up, hairs and accessories. Coming to Uyo for the first time and you need a place to enhance your beauty, then this is the perfect shot.

Oba field is one of the known fields with state of the art facilities. During my first visit to that unique place, I was surprised to see that more than one sporting activities can be done here. This is because each sporting activity has its distinct section. It's truly a work of art.

University of Uyo is one of the public universities recognized in Nigeria. This University has been in existence for a while cementing its reign in academic excellence. It has different campuses situated in Uyo and that's amazing.

Uniuyo Microfinance Bank

Imagine a situation where a student has to pay his or her way out of school just to pay for one of the school requirements. This scenario is not present in the University of Uyo because of the Uniuyo microfinance bank. The bank is open to the students, lecturers and the general public. The best part is that it's situated in the school campus giving the students East route to the place.

In Ibom plaza, this is one of the newly inaugurated buildings. Currently, it houses different business ventures ranging from phones/accessories, electronics, fashion house, etc.

This is also proudly owned by the University of Uyo. In this filling station, they make sure quality is maintained. People do testify about the customer relationship and that's just amazing.

This is also an amazing secondary school that is located in Nwaniba road in Uyo. The school is unique because of the standard they maintain there.
