MEDICAL IMPORTANCE OF CHROMOLAENA ODORATA ( SIAM WEEDS)
Hello everyone !
today I want to share with the power of the chromolaena odorata , which is also called the Siam weed.
It actually my first time posting here , but it actually not my first time dealing with herbal stuff.
In my country Ghana this plant is name after a former president Kutu Acheampong , the reason been that during his tenure of office he launched an agenda called operation feed yourself , this was meant to led Ghanaians grow their own food , during this time a great famine occurred where Ghanaians were depending on the Seam leaves , this is how come this plant in Ghana is called Acheampong.
Now let look at the medical importance of this leave:
- rubbing the leaves in between your two palm to squeeze out the liquid content of the leave and applying it to a fresh cut wound with a non-stop blood oozing can cause fast blood clotting , it
- Applying the Seam leaves liquid on a snake bite can reduce the rate at which the poison will travel in the human body
- When the Seam leaves are dried and boiled and taken as tea leaves can cure all kind of stomach disease
- In Muslim community in Africa where the dead bodies are not kept in the Morgue the seams leaves are used to preserve the body
- This leaves had multiple levels of cure including Bilharzia , diabetic , it can also be used as an anti inflammatory.
Thanks for going through my post , and learning something new form our side here in west Africa 🇬🇭 Ghana
