WASPS & POLLINATION

Hello my dear Steemians!.

I want to invite you to join my hunt this time. Conquering wasps that are pollinating is a very difficult job. Wasps seem to have extra energy and never stop moving, flying from one flower to another. I have to move fast every time I get a chance to take a picture. This wasp seemed not to give me the opportunity to get closer to him. But I always believe that every effort will bear fruit. I managed to get a few angles of the image, although the quality is not perfect.

Insects are one of the oldest animals that have inhabited this earth long before humans or other animals existed. I'm sure when you hear the word insect, surely what comes to mind is that the animal is scary. When in fact there are many insects that do not bother humans and can even provide benefits for human life.

As a reliable predator, the existence of wasps is very important in human life. Wasps have an ecological role to eradicate various annoying pests. You can imagine if there were no wasps in this world to eradicate various pests, then automatically the number of pests that disturb plants would increase rapidly and damage the crops of farmers. Wasps are insect species that are very beneficial for the environment because they can help pollinate plants and are very useful for ecosystem sustainability. It turns out that the most pollinating types of insects for plants are wasps and bees.

I often find that sometimes people find it difficult to tell the difference between bees and wasps. At first glance, if we pay attention to their physical form, they look very similar because they come from the same order (Hymenoptera). Bees and wasps have almost the same physical shape, but if you look closely, bees have more hairs located all over their bodies than wasps. Wasps do not need many colonies because they cannot produce their own honey, although wasps also eat flower nectar. Hopefully useful and thanks for visiting my blog.
