A Beauty Resurrected (PowerUp 100%)

On the 26th of November 2008, Mumbai was attacked by a group of terrorists. The attack left hundreds of people either dead or injured. The terrorist organisation Lashkar-e-Taiba was successful in its attempt to send a wave of terror across the country. It is an incident that can never be forgotten.

On my trip to Mumbai, I visited Colaba, where the majestic Taj Hotel (which was also the hotel attacked) is located. It was hard to imagine that so beautiful a place has gone through a terrible time. A building that saw people killed in it.

But as I have mentioned in one of my earlier posts that life goes on. This hotel has also moved on trying to leave behind its dark memories. It took many years for the hotel to get repaired. But with time it has come back in its form. Now, it again stands tall with its hypnotizing beauty.

The hotel is facing towards the sea, so I was unable to take a photograph from the front. However, I have tried to take snaps from the sides. Hopefully, it can help you get an idea of the beauty of the hotel.

The pic below is a remembrance of the dark phase that Mumbai went through. And also a reminder that whatever has happened will not be allowed to repeat.
