Whilst at work today staring at another boring spreadsheet I started to day-dream and imagine what the perfect job for an angry man is. It got me thinking about the many professions I have encountered in life and here are some which I consider to be amongst the angriest.

IT Support

When I was younger I knew my way around a computer and was even capable of putting one together. This was enough to get me a part time job working on an IT help desk and allowed me to experience some of the dumbest shits that are in employment. If you have ever wondered why IT support are always so angry, this is why.

I took a call one morning from somebody who was unable to do any work because their mouse was not working. The obvious first thing to check was whether the mouse was plugged in so I inquired "Is the mouse plugged in?", to which they responded angrily "And how am I supposed to know that?!!!" I put it as the lowest priority and somebody eventually went to see them at lunch time. Having plugged their mouse back in, they was able to get back to work.

Doctors Receptionist

If you think IT support are angry, then pop down to your local doctor's surgery without an appointment. I can categorically say that these are the angriest, most power hungry people on the planet and would put anybody off seeing their doctor. It came as no surprise to me to overhear one receptionist complaining about her messy divorce.

Boxer or Fighting of Some Sort

Too obvious.

Any Job at your Local Council

If you want an easy life, then you apply for an office job with your local council. Unfortunately, you sometimes have to deal with the public and this is too much to handle for many council workers. The expectation that you do something for the public seems to make these people snap without warning. It makes them so angry, that you have to wait a minimum of 4 weeks for them to calm down enough to post you the wrong form.

Chef

Gordon Ramsay is a very angry man. He is always shouting and swearing at people and although there is an element of theater here, you can see from his wrinkled face that he has spent a large portion of his life being very angry at people.

I am not sure such angry people should spend their days and evenings in possession of sharp objects.

Security Guard / Door Man

This job is centered around being menacing and intimidating so this is perhaps the perfect job for an angry man. You get to shout at people and let off plenty of steam which keeps an angry man healthy.

Rock Star

My final option is the classic rock star. Not your namby pamby Ed Sheeran or deranged lunatic Kanye West, I'm talking Ozzy Osbourne territory, only angry. Ozzy always seems rather doolally happy. So maybe Liam Gallagher angry. He thinks it's cool to be angry.

There are many more fine suggestions for jobs suitable to the angrier individuals amongst us but these are the ones that came to mind first. Fortunately, these options will suit a variety of skill sets so there will be a viable option in here somewhere.
