Photographing Flowers Week #6 - Roses and Chrysanthemums
This post was written specifically for the Weekly Contest. "Photographing Flowers Week #6". /Concurso Semanal. "Fotografiando Flores, Semana #6" contest by @adeljose
As they say in our village: "It was very fortunate that I came to you".
Where have I been for so long and why haven't I seen this contest?
I became inattentive because of my work.
I photographed these flowers on November 4. On this day my wife was born. The children sent her a bouquet of flowers and I showed them that the flowers had been delivered.
I gave my wife white chrysanthemums. I've known my wife for 36 years. She and I started studying at the same university, in the same study group. At her birthday party, which I attended for the first time when we were not married yet, I found out that she loves white chrysanthemums. Since then, I have always given her such flowers.
Times are changing. Once upon a time, I liked these flowers for the fact that they could stand in a vase for a very long time, even for several months. I have already shown the chrysanthemums that grow in my garden. It would be like this. We gave these flowers to my mother for her birthday, which she has on December 31. The flowers were in the vase for about a month, and then my mother transplanted them into a pot with earth, and in the spring we planted them in the garden.
Those were the times when there were few flower shops in our city. Now there are a lot of shops and sellers are looking for different ways to save flowers until the moment of their purchase by the buyer. Therefore, the flowers very quickly begin to wither in the vase.
Today is November 11th. A week has passed. I understand that the roses have started to wither. This is a normal phenomenon. Roses don't last long in a vase. But the leaves of the chrysanthemum also began to turn yellow. It's bad. The caps of the flowers are good, and lush, and the leaves turn yellow.
Nothing lasts forever on this Earth under the Moon. And all the flowers fade and lose their beauty.
This rose was given by the youngest daughter. She gave me something else some kind of winter hat, but I haven't seen it yet, because the gift was given without my presence.

Flowers are always a good option to give, especially if you know that they are your wife's favorites. That's right, the flowers always wither but over time they bloom again to continue giving us their beauty.
Thank you for joining the contest.
