My Story from a Train Journey

For the last decade or so Trains have been my goto mode of travel when it came to long distances as it was both convenient and economical at the same time but this hasn’t been all cozy stories as I have been through some massive setbacks which I can now tell everyone as stories of my train journeys. Today I will be talking about one such instance where I almost missed my train even though I was close by.

So the incident happened like 7 years ago when I was still studying in College and it was Puja Season and I had to come back home so I got tickets to the only train that had tickets and it’s departure time was at 3 AM in the morning. So I came to my station at 7 PM on the previous night and I booked a hotel near the Railway Station so that when the train comes it is easy for me to board the train.

But when I arrived at the station it was informed to me that the train was running 12 hours late which meant that my train was going to arrive at 3PM instead of 3AM. I was happy because that meant I did not have to wake up in the middle of the night and come board my Train. So I did what I had to which was to have my Dinner and go to Bed but I was in for a shocker when my sleep broke abruptly around 2:40 AM and I hear the announcement that my Train was standing on platform number 1. I immediately rushed to the station literally in my PJs and frantically boarded my Train and believe me when I say that I was able to board my train literally by a thread of hair. But not everyone was as lucky as me as while the train left my Station I literally saw several passengers running from the platform as they were late for their train.

This was a huge experience for me as I have literally seen a Train cover 12 hours of time in night and till this date I don’t know how they did it but the fact remains that they did, and after that incident I always come to the station on time even if the train is running late.
