The World of XPILAR - CITYSCAPE PHOTOGRAPHY AND ART CONTEST WEEK #144 - Mill battle.
Mill battle.
Time is merciless, it flies, leaving behind only memories of past greatness.
Time is like a mill that does not care what to grind.
His millstones are able to grind everything, stone, concrete, steel and wood, everything turns into powdery dust, which flies away on its own, obeying the gusts of wind.
I found the place where two mills met on their way, time and an old mill in the small Ukrainian town of Konstantinov.
Here, the battle of these titans is in full swing, and although time cannot be felt, touched, it clearly outperforms the mill, quite material, created by people who thought that they were creating something very fundamental and eternal.
At the moment when I saw the mill, it was under reconstruction, the landscape was unattractive due to the construction fence, but it was a landmark of a small town.
This was the case when I really wanted to remove everything superfluous.
One night, I took a large series of photographs of the city at night, through the foggy glass of the bus, they serve as excellent bases for me to edit photographs.
It's time to connect the night city and the historical object in the form of an old mill.
In photo editing programs, you can find many different filters, such as scratches. but, I needed a special filter that would give the impression that time, like the millstones of a mill, turns everything into dust and chips.
To do this, I created an additional layer from the puddle photo, removing everything unnecessary.
Happy viewing and reading!

Greetings, my friend, do you know that this picture took me to a very far place? You must be wondering about this place??? It is in the depths of my memory. My memory is trying to shake off the dust of sadness and clear the corridors of memory. I wonder, my friend, can I start over or stay in the body of the dilapidated past???
Before I answer your philosophical and poetic question, I would like to pronounce the Caucasian slogan of admiration - WAH! This is really a wonderful question, deep and meaningful, but even though I said the Caucasian slogan, I will talk about French cuisine :)
In the French comedy film Chef, Alexandre Lagarde, admiring Jacqui Bono's pumpkin soup made from sultanka fish, said the phrase: Vegetable balance! Spice balance!
This phrase is missing the main ingredient, namely, the sultanka.
It seems to me that if we consider vegetables as the past, and spices as the future, then the sultanka fish will always be between them, it will be the present time and it is very important, always, both in the past and in the future, to be present, yourself.
A good chef, a real chef, is never afraid to throw a spoiled dish in the trash and start everything from the very beginning. Thank you!
My friend, your words are wonderful and contain optimism and his view of a beautiful tomorrow, and the French chef was wonderful in the theory of starting to cook a new dish , but my friend, did our famous French chef forget that the problem is no longer in preparing a new dish??? The biggest problem and tragedy is our loss of passion and enthusiasm. There is a huge difference between his dish, which he prepares with granules of joy, flavors it with the flavor of hope, adds some of the spice of humor to it, topping it face with a layer of joyful sugar, and my dish, which I prepare, contains a mixture of the nectar of tears and some of the flavors of regret, and we do not forget the bitter spices of the past. Hahahahah oops i forget to aşk you what do you think is a suitable topping for my plate?
Prayer.
Thank you, friend!
