WOX Travel Contest | The Imperial City of Marrakech
Greetings my fellow steemers i hope everybody is doing great. Today i will share with you my unforgettable vacation experience that I had with my girlfriend in the imperial city of Marrakech. For the record i didn't take many photos, because this vacation was more of a rest than a party for me, you know from time to time you just want to rest somewhere with your partner and refuse to exist anywhere else except this practicular place. If i have to explain what Morocco is in a nutshell i will say that Morocco is a place with stunning architecture and vibrant markets containing rich cultural heritage.
One of the main attractions in Marrakech is the medina, it is the oldest part of the city where you can find the famous Jemaa el-Fnaa square, which is a lively marketplace which to be honest gave me arab vibes, but i'm not suprised considering that the Moroccan culture is heavily influenced by it's historical ties with the Arab world.
Other than that we went on some restaurants where the cuisine was close to the arab culture, infact writing this post i'm kinda pissed i didn't take photos of my food, i remember i had a soup which had lentils, chickpeas and tomatoes, i don't remember what was called, but it is a tradition dish there. So please understand me it was a more of a love holiday than photo holiday hehe, but don't get sad i have a view that will blow your mind that i guarantee will give you let's say a romance vibe that i saved for the end of the post.
So as i said it was a love holiday and instead of doing side activities like riding camels or going into exploring the wildlife of the country i decided to surprise my girlfirend waking her up at 5 in the morning with a beautifull view having a trip with hot air baloon. I knew she would be frustrated with her morning wake up and to be honest she was kinda mad at me until she saw what we were going to do that early in the morning. Flying with a balloon is an activity that i've never experienced before, so and she and i can say that it was the most peaceful and exhilarating feeling i have experienced. I think that having a trip with hot air baloon is an activity every person who is in love should add to the notebook, i just can't explain the feeling. The zen feeling is not only the balloon passing through the air and offering a unique perspective on the surrounding landscape, but being up there is like you are one with the world.
Just to note this was around 6 in the morning i hope this photo makes up for the lack of the food photo i didn't take, if it does i told ya i saved the best for last hehe. Enjoy!

I still only dream of flying in a hot air balloon. I like it and I'm afraid of heights. :) Especially in a balloon. Cool photos :))
You should definitely consider going with your love one on an activity like this it’s worth it.😄
This is something amazing! Thank you, this is an incredible post. I liked everything - both the photos and the story. But I will not add a hot air balloon trip to my list :) With my phobia of heights, it turned into a nightmare for me. I work in large chemical plants. There you often have to climb to a height. It used to be a disaster for me, but over the years I managed to overcome the fear. However, even riding the Ferris wheel remains an incredible challenge for me.
Hey thank you for the feedback i love that you admire it, i hope more people see the post, because the last picture is something everyone should see, to be honest i was thinking to maybe put the photo with the hot air balloon in the beginning, but that would’ve spoiled the vibe of the post. Anyway i also have fear of heights, but up there is not that scary, because have in mind in order to fly with hot air balloon the condition of the weather must be good, so to organise something like this takes time it can’t happen on the spot. Anyway you should at least consider getting on a balloon like this, I’m telling you the experience is something you will remember for a long long time.😄
