RE: Crowdfunded Digital Art Competition: Week 4 (Week 3 Rewards: 11.342 STEEM)

Apoyado...😉

Thank you @colombiaoriginal. I think this idea has huge potential.

Not only will this bring in new participants within Steemit, but outside the platform as well, if the payouts are large enough. Once the payouts are large enough, we could advertise that on social media platforms. Developing a smart contract to automate this Crowdfunding system would also be ideal. But this will have to involve greater participation from Whales…or thousands of smaller participants.

Yeah, times have changed. I hope that we can revisit that time.

In any economic system (a nation in this example)…a large, strong, middle class…meaning, most of the people hold most of the wealth (at least), contributes to more wealth overall, including the top 1%.

It increases foreign direct investment (money coming into a system externally), population growth (people go where the money/opportunity is), technological advancement (these nations attract intellectual talent), increased productivity (when people make more money, they are happier usually, and are more efficient), etc…

If we apply these principles to steemit, as if it were a nation-state, we can have some real potential.

Steemit can be huge…and make a whole lot of people a lot of money… as long as the majority of people are making that money.
