Celebrating My First Canada Day 🎉🇨🇦

in WORLD OF XPILAR3 days ago

Hi Everyone 🤗

Two days ago was something special, it was my very first Canada Day celebration 🇨🇦

On July 1, 1867, Canada became a self-governing dominion of Great Britain with the unification of three colonies into four provinces. It's nice to think that what started with just Ontario, Quebec, New Brunswick and Nova Scotia has now grown into this vast and diverse country😊

Happy 157th birthday to Canada 🎉🥳

One of the things I love most about Canada is the friendliness of the people. Despite being new here, I felt so welcomed🥰 There were people around with their faces painted and restaurants and cafes were decorated with a special theme with flag for Canada Day.

There were concerts and events all day long. I went to watch the concert and I was lucky that the band was great and later the DJs' performances were good. I had a fantastic time dancing and exploring the area💃🏻

The events were held in a spacious park. On the other side of the stage, there were lovely food trucks serving street food and fascinating Indigenous tents🤗

As night fell, we climbed a hill to watch the fireworks show. The entire place was filled with energetic and happy people. We watched a long and beautiful fireworks show.

It was a perfect ending to an incredible day filled with music, dance, and celebration. The experience left us with beautiful memories and a sense of community that made the event special 🤗

One last thing I'd like to add is that I think drone shows are now far more impressive than fireworks displays. Drone shows can tell a captivating story with depictions of the country's history and unique symbols which enhances the sense of unity within the community.

For newcomers, it's also more informative and creates a stronger emotional connection. Plus, it's a noise-free event, making it much kinder to birds and other wildlife 🌸

Canada Day was about community, about kindness and about the shared history that binds everyone together. I feel so lucky to be part of this ❤️

I hope you all enjoyed reading my post ✨
Thank you 💕

I saw that day on FB the pictures of a family I know who moved to Toronto in 2019. What struck me was that they were all wearing clothes with inscription "Canada" in different variations. Even: "this is my home".
That shocked me. In a good way, of course. For the first time. From their photos, I understood that this country really gave them something, made them feel good, took care of them. It has shown an attitude and thought for them, for its citizens. And in fact, this is why they left Bulgaria and why I also want to leave it: the state does not show the slightest care and interest for its people. And that is what is most hopeless here.
And you are really lucky to end up in the right country.😊
