Summer in St.Petersburg 2024. Part 1

in WORLD OF XPILAR21 days ago

For the third year in a row, I have been traveling to St. Petersburg for the International Economic Forum and I manage to walk around this wonderful city!

And it wasn't until the third time that I began to feel it slowly.

The fact is that all the times I walked not alone, but with colleagues at work.

And this time I was alone and I was able to immerse myself in the atmosphere.

Always and everywhere you need to walk alone, or at least with a person who is on the same wavelength and also feels places.

This time I managed to shoot in different genres: reportage street, spotted street and landscape.

This is my personal classification of genres, which I feel internally and they differ in frequency of vibrations (or in feelings, in emotional mood, whichever is more convenient).

But I did not divide the posts by genre, but just show everything in chronological order.

It's been a long time since I've brought such a volume of pictures from trips.

I had to sort out a lot of things, and then sort them again for posts.

You can shoot endlessly in St. Petersburg!

And if you also get into the atmosphere of the city, you can discover an inexhaustible storehouse of stories on any topic.

It was difficult to tune in due to the fact that my reporting wave and the wave of the street were on the decline.

But I still managed to play with the stains from the bottom of my heart.

I began to shoot more and more often so that the picture did not require even minimal correction.

Now the most I do is correct the white dot.

There is no need to set even a black dot, because I shoot almost in a low key.

I stretch the shadows quite a bit sometimes.

This is all the influence of the reportage wave.

Although, in general, one should strive not to resort to image processing.

...Am I writing this? Five years ago, I kept saying that correction is always necessary, because the camera does not see like a human eye.

And now I think that the camera should not see like an eye, it has its own opinion, you just need to trust it.

I even stopped touching the white balance.

If the color scene has gone blue, then so be it.

But it's not just like that – it's all from the reporting world, where it's simply forbidden to make changes to the picture, which is why reporters strive to make it feel good right away.

To be continued...
