Willows with flashlight

The willows need light! To photograph willows, you need at least some kind of lighting. Willows have textured trunks and a voluminous crown. If you shoot willows during the day, then you need to keep the sky out of the frame.

I started photographing willows even before it became mainstream.

Therefore, I studied the properties of this tree.

If you shoot willows at night, then the sky should be darker than the foliage, and for this you need street lighting.

If you photograph willows with a flash, you can get an interesting "reverse" volume effect.

I would like to find a place where there is a giant willow jungle...

I want to reshoot all the willow places in the city and the district.

But you need to do this at the end of summer, when the sky turns dark.

Other trees with a flash don't look so epic at all.

Although blooming apple trees can be interestingly beaten with direct light.

...And yet the flash is not mine. I'm used to long exposures from a tripod.

Beautiful pictures. There is something mesmerizing about them. You expect glowing eyes to appear among the branches. :)
If you don't mind, I will publish a link to this material on our WOX channel.
