Started with a Genesis 8 Female Template.

Away from Home 8.JPG
Added a train environment.

Away from Home 7.JPG
After I completed the character, set the posture, facial expression, texture and clothes…I added her into the scene.

Away from Home 5.jpg
1st Render - I added hair, city reflection in the window, then rendered the scene.

Away from Home 6.jpg
Post Photoshop Final Render: I added city light reflections in the window and on the train, added rain droplets on the window, increased light exposure to simulate city lights coming through the window enhancing Sophia’s face.

Tools, assets and techniques used:

Daz3D Studio, Iray and Photoshop
Zsazsa Genesis 8 Female Template
2021-14 Hair Genesis 8 Female Conforming Version
dForce_WeekendTop and Retro Active Pants
HDRI Lighting
Scotsman Express Environment

In Summary:

  • I start out with a model template and morph the body physically.
  • I put the body into a position, change facial expressions, add makeup, dress the model, add skin texture, props, etc…
  • I either can embed the character into the background or wrap the environment around the character, then add lighting and camera settings, like depth of field.
  • Rendering times can take 10 minutes to 2 hours per render.
  • Postwork in Photoshop (adding imperfections in the skin, changing atmosphere, creating depth of field, etc…)

Stay frosty people.
