October 15: Dream Birthday Get-together
It took us more than four birthdays and over a year to finally find some time to celebrate a friend’s birthday together. Our golden student days are behind us, and we've all stepped into our professional lives. This is one of the lessons we've learned in the past couple of years. It's funny—back in the day, we celebrated each and every one of our birthdays, but now, we barely have time even to wish each other.
However, I've come to realize that life is about cherishing these little moments—complaining less and enjoying more. We finally managed to arrange a visit to a nearby café to celebrate the birthday of one of my closest friends. It was all spontaneous. I didn't wish her at midnight, but the next morning, I called my friends and told them I had planned a surprise cake and lunch for all of us.
And that was it—surprisingly, we all made time from our busy schedules, and within an hour, we gathered at one of the finest restaurants, known for its meat and cheese dishes: the Meat the Cheese café.

The birthday girl had no idea that a cake was being prepared for her. All she knew was that we were going out for lunch, and she didn’t even realize she wouldn’t be paying for her meal—after all, the birthday girl never pays.
We each ordered different dishes, and they were all incredibly delicious, with plenty of cheese. Here’s what we ordered:
After the dinner, I signalled the waiter to serve us the cake. I had ordered a Melting Chocolate Cake for her as I knew she likes these kind of cakes. She was genuinely surprised with this act and was really grateful as well.
Why did I call it a dream Birthday Get-together? Because after a very long time all of us had an opportunity to be together. To reminisce the good old days. It was indeed the perfect birthday party.
