Celtic knotwork - knot panels drawing, part 3

in WORLD OF XPILARlast month

Hi friends!

This last knot is a bit easy as we will see, but the considerations we must have before doing it are very important.

-----------------------------------------------

First of all, we must keep in mind that we will join this knot with the others already drawn to obtain a single endless loop.

We begin to draw the parallel lines that will join the previous grids with which the first two knots were drawn.

As you can see, the number of parallel lines must match both ways. So we have seven bottom to match with seven above, wich allows us to get six vertical cells.

Then, try to draw a curved diagonal line from the lower left corner to the upper right corner to determine the lines that will allow us to obtain the horizontal cells.

Draw the lines passing through the intersection points as shown below.

Now, draw the diagonal lines for each cell, first in one direction...

...then, in the opposite sens.

It should be helpful to mark the center of each cell with a dot to avoid confusion or errors.

This is the knot I got.
