Drawing like a pro - 84, Homework Contest #10 -Optical Art

in WORLD OF XPILAR2 years ago

Hi friends!

If you like this type of art, geometric art or Op-Art, here is a good exercise to practice a particular use of one-point perspective.
I leave you this exercise as a Homework Contest, related to the previous post that contains the tutorial to develop this perspective method.

*

-----------------------------------------------

The Homework

Start by drawing a square, then draw both diagonal lines to find the center of it and draw the horizon line to make the grid, as was explained in the previous lesson 83-Masterclass.

At the bottom of the grid, draw squares until the entire row is complete.

Draw the horizontal and vertical lines around the inside of the square as shown below.

Then draw all the vanishing lines with the same drawing process used before and complete the outside by drawing all the surrounding squares.

Now, erase the vanishing lines in the resulting central square in order to draw the new grid inside.

It only remains to paint with black and white all the rhombuses that result from the grid.

Maybe you want to colour the squares, then a great source of inspiration could be the colour lessons given by @fumansiu.

This is another example to inspire you.

SOME RULERS

*

° The contest is open to the entire STEEMIT community
° The drawing must be a separate STEEMIT post with a link in the comments section and using the tag #woxartschool.
° You have 7 days from the day of this publication to post the link to your task in the comments.

The best homework of school participants will receive support from WOX curators.

-----------------------------------------------

I wish you a very nice day and good exercise!

And if you like to colour your drawings, I recommend the interesting and useful Color and Light classes of @fumansiu whose concepts you can apply both with traditional and digital techniques.
https://steemit.com/hive-185836/@fumansiu/color-and-light-orange-round-3
is his newest lesson.
Very interesting indeed!

Or maybe you want to make a beautiful watercolour with your drawing!
Well, our friend @arcoiris is back with his magnificent watercolour lessons.
Check out this last post that contains very interesting and useful advice about watercolours in different qualities and formats from different brands.
