Hoy ha sido el día que he despertado más tarde desde el primero de Enero 😅, me quedé hasta tarde haciendo unos trabajos que tenía pendiente, así que desperté muy tarde. Lo bueno es que al despertar leí unos mensajes que me alegraron el día, y eso que solo estaba empezando para mí. Luego de leer los mensajes, me levanté de la cama, me cepillé los dientes, busqué mi comida, y me senté en la computadora como siempre.
Today was the day I woke up later since January 1st 😅, I stayed up late doing some work I had pending, so I woke up very late. The good thing is that when I woke up I read some messages that made my day, and it was only starting for me. After reading the messages, I got out of bed, brushed my teeth, grabbed my food, and sat down on the computer as usual.
Desayune viendo un video de Nelson Ferreira, un venezolano que se encuentra viviendo en Australia y realiza unos videos increíbles, lo sigo desde hace un tiempo ya. Este video, aunque fue corto, mostró un poco lo que le cuesta a Nelson a nivel físico hacer sus videos, debido a la cantidad de equipos que carga siempre encima para realizar sus tomas. No es nada fácil pero el resultado es increíble, me gusta mucho el trabajo que realiza y la vibra que transmite.
I had breakfast watching a video of Nelson Ferreira, a Venezuelan who is living in Australia and making some incredible videos. This video, although it was short, showed a little what it takes at a physical level for Nelson to make his videos, due to the amount of equipment he always carries around with him to make his shots. It's not easy but the result is incredible, I like the work he does and the vibes he transmits.

Luego de ver este video, vi un video de Matt McGuire, un baterista que sigo desde hace varios años en Youtube. En este video, realizó un cover de Break Stuff, una canción de Limp Bizkit que solía escuchar mucho en mi adolescencia. El cover estuvo genial, de verdad supo transmitir la energía del tema y agregarle un poco su personalidad sin arruinar la canción con muchos adornos. Al final del video, Matt cuenta la historia de lo que significaba esa canción para él, al parecer compartimos recuerdos gratos sobre el tema, de verdad que es un tema con mucha energía que nos generaba mucha emoción, y por lo que veo sigue siendo así. Espero pronto poder tener un poco más de tiempo para tocar canciones en la guitarra; sobre todo aquellas que escuchaba cuando estaba adolescente, esas canciones son muy emocionantes y divertidas de tocar. Tengo varias canciones por ahí que podría tocar con una baterísta genial que conozco. En fin, el video de Matt me motivó a tocar.
After watching this video, I saw a video of Matt McGuire, a drummer that I've been following for several years on Youtube. In this video, he made a cover of Break Stuff, a Limp Bizkit song that I used to listen to a lot in my teenage years. The cover was great, he really knew how to transmit the energy of the song and add a little bit of his personality without ruining the song with many adornments. At the end of the video, Matt tells the story of what that song meant to him, it seems that we shared great memories about the song, it’s a song with a lot of energy that generated a lot of emotion, and as far as I can see, it still does. I hope to have a little more time soon to play songs on the guitar; especially those I listened to when I was a teenager, those songs are very exciting and fun to play. I have several songs out there that I could play with a great drummer I know. Anyway, Matt's video motivated me to play.

Al terminar el video de Matt, estuve hablando con unos compañeros de trabajo sobre algunas referencias que podríamos tomar para un proyecto musical que vamos a trabajar próximamente. Las referencias que envié fueron bien recibidas, así que espero todo esto nos sirva para trabajar con un norte más claro en esta nueva experiencia musical.
After finishing Matt's video, I was talking to some of my co-workers about some references we could take for a music project we are going to work on soon. The references I sent were well received, so I hope all this will help us work with a clearer direction in this new musical experience.
Un par de horas después, empecé mis clases de canto. No me costaron tanto como ayer pero igual fue algo complicado. Debo mejorar mi técnica y ya me di cuenta de algunos problemas que estoy teniendo, más que todo es presión innecesaria en la garganta, lo corregí y me fue mejor. Creo que tiene que ver con mi referencia, al ajustar un poco el volumen de cómo me escuchaba pude dejar de hacer ciertas cosas y mejorar mi técnica. Todo esto me sirve como experiencia ya que siempre he estado en el papel del ingeniero de grabación, estar del otro lado, y ver cómo influye la referencia es una nueva experiencia que me ayuda a ser mejor profesional en mi área. El resultado fue bueno al final así que no me quejo. Me toca seguir aprendiendo y avanzando. ☺️
A couple of hours later, I started my singing lessons. It didn't cost me as much as yesterday but it was still a bit complicated. I have to improve my technique and I already realized some problems I'm having, more than anything its unnecessary pressure on my throat, I corrected it and it was better. I think it has to do with my reference, by adjusting a little bit the volume of how I was listening I was able to stop doing certain things and improve my technique. All this serves me as experience since I have always been in the role of the recording engineer, being on the other side, and seeing how the reference influences is a new experience that helps me to be a better professional in my area. The result was good in the end so I'm not complaining. It's up to me to keep learning and moving forward. ☺️

Luego de la práctica de canto, hice mis ejercicios. Hoy era día de hombros y espalda. A pesar de haber aumentado un poco el peso en algunos ejercicios, me di cuenta de que pronto -capaz la semana que viene- podré subir el peso que utilizo en toda la rutina. Es una sorpresa para mí, no esperaba levantar tanto peso tan pronto, pero es emocionante. Creo que nunca había llegado a este nivel, pero al igual que las clases de canto, debo seguir avanzando.
After the singing practice, I did my exercises. Today was a day of shoulders and back. Despite having increased the weight a little in some exercises, I realized that soon -maybe next week- I would be able to increase the weight I use in the whole routine. It's a surprise to me, I didn't expect to lift so much weight so soon, but it's exciting. I don't think I've ever reached this level before, but just like the singing lessons, I have to keep moving forward.
Al terminar mis ejercicios, me bañé, comí, y me puse a escuchar una presentación de Tom Misch que me compartieron. Me gustó, hay cosas en la ejecución muy interesante, me parece que los músicos que participaron allí son muy buenos. El baterísta es increíble.
When I finished my exercises, I bathed, ate, and listened to a Tom Misch show that was shared with me. I liked it, there are things in the performance that are very interesting, I think that the musicians who participated there are very good. The drummer is incredible.

Luego de esto, estuve conversando varias horas por chat, la pasé muy bien, hasta logré divertirme en la conversación y eso es positivo. Hoy no tuve conversaciones profundas como la de ayer, pero si fue otro tipo de conversación que no tenía desde hace mucho tiempo y me alegra vivir cosas así de agradables. Al terminar la conversación, me quedé haciendo unos trabajos que tenía pendiente y al finalizarlos me fui a dormir.
After this, I was chatting for several hours, I had a great time, I even had fun in the conversation and that's positive. Today I didn't have deep conversations like the one I had yesterday, but it was another kind of conversation that I haven't had for a long time and I'm happy to experience things like that. When the conversation ended, I stayed up doing some work I had pending and when I finished it I went to sleep.
