I agree. I told a student today that I draw better than I did 6 months ago. He asked how can it be if I draw for so many years (I am 50 y/o), so I told him that there is always more to learn and improve, and if someone draws the same for too long, it means they need to learn more.
Of course brush mileage is just as important. Practice, practice, practice.
