Dear Steemians!
Here is day 9 of publishing a page of my diaries. This one is from 2005.
This time its all a text in Spanish where I´m thinking about the importance responsIbility has to FREEDOM.
Originally these thoughts came to me though the activity I was doing at that time, teaching art at the summer school. I was thinking about the regulation of freedom and how some children can challenge this discipline. When it´s well reasoned it can be good. Some children can evolve well by challenging the limits . This idea of freedom later on turned into a painting I have posted on Steemit a few years ago and that it explains the core of what I thought on this scruffy page.

Best Wishes !

Might I add... this is content that has never been shared digitally ever before. I´m happy to have it in the blockchain.

" THE STAINED GLASS WINDOW (OR FREEDOM)?" 122x80cm. acrylic on wood. Ibiza 2006.
She was a woman who dreamed of being free. She travelled the world searching for freedom without really ever finding it. She had this fixation on birds, that for her symbolised that freedom. She loved them so much that she even grew a wing herself.
In one of her travels she came across a desert. She was very tired and stopped there. Her body had suffered great alterations already, the high price she had payed for this way of life, further from freedom than initially. Through her erroneous perception of freedom she finally found herself trapped in this stained glass window. She was stuck.
That day, a bird came to whisper a secret about freedom in her ear, it sang the word Responsibility.
In order for her to be really free, she must take responsibility for all the consequences of her free acts. She was trapped in the glass stained window made of different pieces to learn that every movement she made would alter the order of all the rest, and this way she could see this. She had never realised this till that day in the desert. Freedom was only real when one totally takes responsibility for the consequences of these free acts.

No entendía nada.

Sort:

🥲🥲 no pic this time..

But the other art looks like one of those paintings on Catholic church walls.. haha

Nice one

yes, that was what I felt the painting resembled.

Are you a Catholic?

No, I haven´t been brought up in any religion, but I believe in Nature being a superior force.

Oh, how cool

Very complex and subtle journey to freedom and responsibility.

hmm...well, I dont think its complex, really, just requires more effort to be aware of the consequences, but once one can develop this habit it comes naturally. Of course there are can always be unknown consequences, I mean the ones we can be aware of. :-)

In our culture, people like to have unlimited freedom! Then they quarrel about whose responsibility to clean up the mess! It’s quite a confusing kind of mentality! 🙀😂
