ART RETREAT IN IBIZA. OCTOBER 2023

I´ve been meaning to find the time to share this post but now is the time!
Back in October this year I gave a painting workshop that was linked to the Somatics technique that Gemma Mallol teaches.
In the mornings for the first 5 days she would take us to the beach or the countryside to do the body movement workshop and then in the afternoons the group would come to my studio to paint in a similar way in.
The ideas behind this going loose to experiment with paint come from principles like no judgement and enjoying a playful approach. We did a series of directed exercises on the panels that each one created. Drawing patterns, creating light and darkness to create space, etc...we also worked on texts and writing stories about our images.
Here are some images of the afternoons in my studio, we had a lot of fun and the participants were very happy.
