Surmounting Every Mountain
There is no mountain that cannot be surmounted. This does not only talk about physical mountain but situations that pose as challenges to someone. There are times when you may be faced with a very difficult situation and you may think that there is no way out, but if you take a step towards it and act, you will be surprised how easy it will be to solve. Here, we shall talk about steps to surmount the mountains of life. Simply put; the step to solve the seemingly difficult and complex issues and challenges of life. Just to let you know; every question in life has an answer, and every problem of life also has a solution.
The first step is to recognise the mountain that you want to surmount. Before humans made it to the zenith of mount Everest, they targeted the specific mountain that they want to surmount, they did not just embark on a random mountain hiking. In life, you have to target your area of specific needs that you want to be addressed. If you do not know the problem that you have, you will not know how to solve it. In fact, you will not even know if it has been solved or not. This is why, if you want to solve a problem, you need to first outline and state the problem. As a matter of fact, when you have been able to evidently state the problem, then you have gone a long way to solving it.
After stating the problem (which is having a knowledge of the mountain to surmount), the next step is to draft out plans to solve it. When you want to build a house, and you have an idea of what to build, what you will do next is to make an architectural plan on paper or otherwise, that will guild your action. Without having a plan, then there is nothing to direct your actions. The plan may include undergoing research, doing some studies, finding out the relevant methods and processes. The truth is that it is easier to solve a problem that you have clearly stated the processes that will lead you solve it than going through trial and error.
The next step, which also substantiates the plans that you have made, is to take actions. No matter the beauty of the plans that you have made and the methods that you have discovered, what produces the result is the action that you have taken. From the example of mount Everest that I gave earlier, the reason why people surmounted mount Everest was because they made attempt to climb it. If they had wished and wished without taking any step, then there is no way they would have made it to the top of the mountain. The major undoing of a lot of people is that they wish for good things but do not take relevant actions to bring it to actualization. There are things in life that do not answer to luck or mere wishes but to actions and works.
The next step is to carry a positive and "I can do" mentality. It is possible that you may have attempted the step or someone else may have even attempted it without having a headway, but it should not make you not to keep trying because what did not work yesterday can work excellently well today. If you know how many people attempted to climb mount Everest but failed at it, it could easily discourage the next mountain hiker. But this did not discourage the person who finally made as the first to the top of the mountain. If you allow failure to discourage you, then you are not ready for success. In the journey of life, the journey is not over because you failed, rather it should provide you with the platform for a comeback. When you have this mentality, then no challenge will be greater than you to solve.
The last step to surmount the mountains of life is to be flexible at all times and learn to adapt. The format that worked for someone or that worked in the past may not be the right format for the present challenge, so you have to be ready to adapt and adjust. Be open to attempt new methods, welcome changes, and do not be scared to attempt alternative approaches. At the end, it is the result that counts, but the methods to arrive at the result is entirely up to your choices to make.
