THE PLOT
The leaks have all been let loose, the recorded calls, messages, secret notes, everything, no one would be spared, anyone who had a hand in this will not go scot free without paying for their sins. Today, baby Ehi would be set free for ransom 2 good weeks after being abducted. The kidnappers had initially demanded 2 Million naira after which it was reduced to 1 Million due to further negotiations. At 5:45 Lucy kept checking her phone, finally it rang, it was the detective. "Are you ready?" He echoed "Yes, i am, on my way to the agreed spot" "Good" Detective Kola responded. Lucy set out for Bariga junction, the planned spot, she was given strict orders not to involve any company, well... She will be breaking that rule. She stood, waiting, in 20 minutes time, someone appeared out from the bush, "Where is the MONEY?" The tout asked "Where is the boy?" Lucy threw back at him "Alright" The tout made a whistle sound and the rest came out of hiding, they were 7 in number, they shoved Ehi at her, making sure to surround her. "I hope you didn't contact the police as instructed?" "Police? No" Lucy said, cuddling Ehi in her arms again. "Here is the money" She handed a black sling bag across, and they let her go. 2 days later, a text message from Detective Kola. " Hello Lucy, goodnews! we were able to trace the kidnappers that faithful day to their hideout, we went back for them, and are now trapped in our custody, thank you for your leads" Lucy heaved a sigh of relief and contentment.
