In your digital work, you started with a very appropriate background, reminiscent as you say of the traditional way of making collages, with papers.
It is also a light background on which the images that you have inserted stand out.
The composition is quite balanced, the collage is clearly divided into two parts, which are the two windows. Everyone will interpret the collage in a different way, for me the light window is that of childhood, and the dark one is that of adulthood, when existence is sometimes complicated.

The collage's meaning is layered: two windows - two periods of life - this is one layer, another one is when adults get divorced. How do children survive in this situation? They clearly grow up earlier and sometimes have no time for toys.
