Feast Diaries Unleashed!

No, I'm not here to lecture you on the importance of good food, show off my culinary skills, or brag about my baking prowess. I'm just being a little bit cruel today. If you're hungry or craving some scrumptious tea and dinner items, feel free to scroll away, but I'll humbly request you not to.

Why am I sharing these? Because I just had two of the most mouthwatering, beautifully presented, and downright delicious parties back to back. And the best part? Everything was homemade!

So let's tease you a little...

About yesterday:

It was another one-dish party. I really don't know the exact reason for it, as the hostess, or rather, the authority (whom we can't decline even politely) -wanted to invite someone of higher authority and host a tea party at her place, but at the expense of us girls. No, you wouldn't understand the dynamics. So, just let it be. You could say it was a "one-dish party" under duress. I don't mind much because if its about good food, well all is well!

_{It was some 60 degrees Celsius in my kitchen all noon yesterday}

I made two batches of buns plus one batch of banana bread, and there was all the burning from making the filling for the buns. On top of that, the stove burning for the preparation of normal lunch for the family. By evening, I was drained. And no, I didn't take any photos of the event. The girl we had entrusted with this huge responsibility turned out to be a filter lover, and now the photos don't do any justice to the quality.

Moving forward, another highlight of the day was this Alfredo pasta:

I wish there were a clearer picture of Hira's dragon chicken, but I'd appreciate it if you could try to spot it in the picture below. Let me tell you, it was so yummy that I had two servings of it. I wanted another, but I resisted as there were also other food items begging to be tried. How could I say No to them.

About "two days" before yesterday:

What if I told you that there was a barbecue party in between these two events? No, I am not so cruel as to share pictures from this party. Well, to be honest, I didn't take any.

And if you are thinking that we are some kind of rich people throwing food parties and all, you are wrong. There is a reason for this urgency in all these meet-ups.

We are going to our folks' place for about 25 days this weekend. When we come back from this much-needed break, quite a few people won't be here anymore; they will have moved to another place. So, I wanted to meet everyone, or maybe they wanted to meet me, before I leave for the summer break.

I had the pleasure of helping the hostess prepare these wraps before the other guests arrived.

And she had made not one, not two, but three 'melt-in-your-mouth' desserts: cinnamon rolls, tres leches milk cake, and some Oreo mousse delight with coffee.

There was also a cooler of mint margaritas, which was prepared just before dinner. What more could one ask for in this scorching heat?

There was this essence (a fragrant coil in a device) burning, giving off a warm and cozy fragrance all the time. I think it was like sandalwood or something like that.
