RE: Sugar Rush and Toy Bust

in WORLD OF XPILARlast month

I'm also not a big sweet tooth and as I've commented once before, Turkish sweets are too sugary for me and if I had to choose between lokum and baklava, I'd definitely choose the lokum. But now this comes to my mind: what if Turkish sweets are so concentrated because they are just to be tasted, to be enjoyed, one small piece, not half a tray, lol, like some people I know would do with their dessert. This can be done in my opinion with other sweets, just not Turkish, because one can die of diabetes or a heart attack. But what if sweets, especially chocolates, give us, who are no longer children, an uplifting mood (yeah, for sure), while giving children just the energy to go crazy, break and dismantle, play endlessly. I think the impact simply depends on the age of the recipient.

Too much sugar makes me nauseous which is why I'm very selective about sweets or desserts. I'm that person who can love a dessert but would only taste a few spoonfulls and be done with it for the day and sometimes days. I have a complicated relationship with sugar. 🤣

I think the impact simply depends on the age of the recipient.

Hmmm... I didn't think it that way.
