I am very curious what will happen after this post...

I’ve created an account - @match-report and seeing what I can do with it. I don’t expect it to earn anything but my hope is that it’ll make the WOX Sports community more active again and hopefully attract some more interaction. Let’s see how we get on 👍🏼

I got your point when I read your post about how you trained AI. As always, you have an interesting idea. And where do you get them :)

Keep in mind that using AI here is tantamount to a mortal sin. Therefore, your new account is doomed to numerous angry comments, remarks by curators and possibly a warning from abuse-watcher. Even with your idea of community development. I think this can be prevented if the rewards for all AI generated texts are burned.

Ha ha, yes. The fact that the initial use of AI was to deceive the community under the pretence that the work was their own has turned Steemit against it. I guess I've always thought differently to the Steemit herd!

I see this as similar to the multi-account perception. I've got a lot of accounts - probably too many to remember and there's a perception that people should only have one. But if used honestly and transparently, it can be used for good. Which is how I'm approaching AI with sports content.

It still takes a surprising amount of effort to get the generated text to be accurate and make sense. Some of the problems I encountered were:

  • Timings of events - things that happened on 31 minutes were included in the 2nd half. A team equalised in the 60th minute and then went on to lose in the 35th.
  • Missing events: Some goals weren't even included.
  • Inaccurate information: Since Chat-GPT's only trained up to September 2021, some players play for different clubs. In the case of Arsenal v. Man City, Chat-GPT thought Gabriel Jesus still played for Man City so included a section about Man City getting frustrated when both Ederson and Jesus were booked.

So even then, without any kind of reward for this effort (either via engagement or financial - neither of which are guaranteed) might render the project a horrible waste of effort. In the olden days, @steem.dao would've been available to reward people for promotion.

Therefore, your new account is doomed to numerous angry comments, remarks by curators and possibly a warning from abuse-watcher.

I might contact the abuse-watcher team so that they know what I'm doing. Interestingly, @disconnect put my original article through an AI checker and it was only flagged at 17%. I'm continuing to tweak it (to introduce a sense of humour, hopefully) so that might even come down with future articles. It'll make for another interesting article. Eventually, only the Diary Game can be trusted 🤣

Update: But if this approach is rewarded. we’ll have 100 copy cats doing the same thing for the wrong reasons

Yes, you are 100% correct here.

In any case, it will be interesting to see your result.

It's surprisingly hard work to get it to generate good content.

This is the latest offering:

🏏 India Triumphs Over Afghanistan in ICC Men's Cricket World Cup

I've tried to introduce more humour into proceedings and the emojis bring a little extra too.

Now if I were a scammer, I bet I could earn some serious dollars by passing off this work as my own. The methodology to get it to that stage is pretty intense so I doubt it could be copied.

Looks like you've broken the system :) Now that you've set an example, we're going to have tons of very productive content creators.
