Pencil drawing competition (No. 61) Portrait Of A Fellow Steemian Part 2 | 100% charcoal
Hello steemians and my fellow artist/creative minds in @worldofxpilar how is the weather over there? As Akwa Ibom or let me say Uyo precisely it's Windy, dry and cold in the morning but very hot at noon. We call it "harmattan" season just like Autumn in America and Canada and other part of Europe. It is common down here in west Africa. We are approaching Christmas ☃️ holiday. How will your Christmas be? People have start preparing for it here. Kids are already anticipating gift from parents and other elders in the family. Eh! I nearly forgot. We just had Steemians end of the year meeting last month in my town Akwa Ibom State. It was gargantuan and massive, every steemian had the opportunity of getting to meet everyone they have been only hearing from online. I'm so glad I did not miss it.
Okay let me dive down to the business of the day. I'm here to present my most recent realistic charcoal pencil portrait of my recent commission piece I did for my Friend Mrs. @xkool24 which was commissioned by my steemian friend @bossj23.
The drawing is one of my best portrait of the year.

Here are the steps on how I did the portrait. I drew my grid lines and made my sketch then started shading it gradually. Starting from the eyes, hair down to her face and to the whole work which includes the neck and her cloth.
I made sure I did a very good detailing for a clean finishing. I took more progress shots compared to the previous portrait.

I’m so happy I get to meet another creative mind. The portrait is amazing, I love his attention to details and how he was able to create a striking yet subtle contrast on the background to aid the projection of the model’s cloth. It’s a very thoughtful and carefully executed piece.

You misunderstood me. I wasn't saying America and Canada is Europe. I was only describing the weather condition of the aboved mentioned places. I studied geography in high school, so I know the difference between those places I mentioned. Thanks for your support. @steemcurator07
