RE: Thinking About Engagement and Interaction on Steemit
This will probably sound unkind - but I'm finding it increasingly difficult to find content that I enjoy enough to comment upon (outside of my usual suspects). I still use my own interface to filter out a lot of the noise and scroll and scroll and scroll......
Perhaps everybody's too busy "Learning" now.
Sadly, I find myself largely having to agree... I have been spending some time "lurking" the new posts feed and there is very little there — aside from "the usual suspects" — and even with those who have been here a while, it feels like there is a lot of "going through the motions."
Which is sad, of course... but I do expect we'll see more activity, if Steem continues to rise. I just hope some of it is worthwhile...
Yes, I've noticed that too. It appears to be common practise to work hard and put a lot of effort in until the autovotes are favourable... and then unfortunately, the incentive to try hard mostly disappears. The importance becomes the daily post - like with voting bot delegations. A few users in particular that were once extremely interesting, just aren't any more 😟
I hope so. I always feel a boost when there's a new wave of enthusiastic users the come on board. I do fear that with the main steemcurator account seemingly dedicated to "Learning Challenges" now, these users won't get the boost that they need to continue but we'll see. I'm possibly underestimating the "Social" attraction for new users - perhaps because that's also hard to come by.
I should probably try to avoid feeling too negative about the direction of things at the moment (from a social viewpoint).
On a more cheery note - is there a change that you'd like me to implement that would improve your experience here? Community enthusiasm for my work (with a few exceptions) feels like it's waning somewhat.
Sadly I‘m asking each day for answers by an active community.

What about...
? I like happily. NO will make me happy. Especially with the "NO posts" rule. Unfortunately, I also live to a "NO time" rule. But I will bend time. I will own time. Time will be my friend once more (in September 2025 when the-toddler-gorilla starts school).
'Happily' would be great.
'NO posts' seems a nice rule for me. What about 'NO users'?
2025 will become the NO year - it will be a happy one... ;-)
Unfortunately, some people have broken the 'NO Subscribers' rule. What should we do with them?
Ouch!
Who would have thought it?
I don't think we should do anything at the moment because most of em subscribed months ago. They probably haven't read the rules carefully. Should this happen again in the future: 🚩🚩🚩🚩
Let me check... I see @clubdolphin subscribed. I'd forgotten about that - that would've been quite a nice thing to continue (quite a lot of effort though). Does my 100,000 SP mean that I'm a whale now? I never quite understood the "ranking" system. Oh, and @clubdolhpin has 100 STEEM. That's a pleasant surprise.
UPDATE:
Oh. Best not power it up then!
Dream on ;-)))
It's true, it's true. Once both little-gorillas are at school, life will be great again.
I think you know my answer: dream on ;-)))) It stops when they are 18...? Nope.
Btw.: did you see our actual "Keyword of the Week" in Dream Steem?
I will dream. At least I will have 9am until 3pm without somebody around my ankles or demanding something of me 🙂
I didn't. I saw a few posts about Gorillas - was that the theme? 🦍
