La presente imagen fue tomada con la cámara del teléfono Samsung A32 el 22 de octubre de 2023 sobre la calle 60 Norte de la ciudad de Mérida, Yucatán, México. El "nido de pájaro" del fondo es el Gran Museo de la Cultura Maya, inaugurado en 2012 por la gobernadora de ese entonces Yvonne Ortega Pacheco; solo he entrado a ese edificio en algunas ocasiones, tanto para las conferencias de un amigo y colega de profesión, como para un recorrido por el museo, dedicado en su totalidad a la cultura maya.
Recuerdo que en las veces que lo he visitado siempre había caído en domingo, único día en donde la entrada era gratuita para los ciudadanos mexicanos, dado que en el resto de la semana cobraban, si mal no recuerdo, hasta 80 pesos mexicanos (4.39 dólares) por persona. Ignoro si se mantiene en ese precio y si la entrada es gratuita los domingos, pero quizás en estos últimos meses del año lo visite.

The present picture was taken with my Samsung A32 phone's camera in October 22nd, 2023, in the North 60th Street of the city of Merida, Yucatan, Mexico. The "bird's nest" in the background is the Mayan Culture's Great Museum, inaugurated in 2012 for Yvonne Ortega Pacheco, the governor in that time; I've just entered in that building few time, both for the conferences of a friend and professional colleague of mine, and for a tour in the museum, devoted entirely to the Mayan Culture.
I remember that the time I've visited it was always in Sunday, only day when the entrance was free for the Mexican citizens, because in the rest of the week, if I remember well, they charged 80 Mexican Pesos (USD$4.39) per person. I ignore if they mantain that price and if the entrance is free on Sundays, but maybe I'll visit it in the last months of the year.
