Greetings to all of us who are already in this beloved community. Meet back with me on this extraordinary opportunity I participate in the macrophotography contest provided to the WORLD OF XPILAR community organized by @ sultan-aceh as a moderator in this community and supported by @xpilar as the leader of this community.

Today I will share again the types of mushrooms that I got in the Aceh forest to be precise in the village of Bouquet, this type of mushroom is a wild mushroom that is believed to be the food of the Acehnese people. This type of fungus grows on dry and dead logs.

You can get the benefits of oyster mushrooms by processing them into various healthy foods in the right way. Oyster mushroom or other language is pleurotus ostreatus, is one of the food fungi from the basidiomycota group and belongs to the homobasidiomycetes class with general characteristics of white to creamy fruit bodies. Then another characteristic is that the tundung of this mushroom is semicircular like an oyster shell with a slightly concave center.
Oyster mushrooms are still a relative of Pleurotus eryngii and are often known as the King Oyster Mushroom. Oyster mushrooms can be found in the wild even throughout the year in the forests and mountains of cool areas.
Fruit bodies are seen piled on the surface of decayed tree trunks or tree trunks that have been felled because this fungus is a type of wood fungus.

  1. Increase Endurance
A study published in the Journal of Traditional and Complementary Medicine shows that oyster mushrooms can potentially boost the immune system in humans.
The active ingredients contained in oyster mushrooms can stimulate macrophages to work more actively. Macrofrage is a part of white blood cells whose job is to fight viruses, bacteria, and microorganisms in the body.

  2. Ward off Free Radicals
The next benefit of oyster mushrooms is that it can ward off free radicals. Oyster mushrooms are believed to contain antioxidants that can help ward off free radicals.
Free radicals are very dangerous for the body because they can trigger various health problems such as heart problems and cancer. Then, antioxidants also play a role in boosting the immune system and protecting the skin from aging.

  3. Maintain Heart Health
The next benefit of oyster mushrooms is to maintain heart health. Oyster mushrooms contain beta glucan which can play a big role in controlling cholesterol levels in the blood as well as maintaining heart health. In addition, oyster mushrooms also contain potassium which functions to maintain heart, muscle and nerve function.
The benefits of oyster mushrooms can also lower blood pressure because the content of the substance ergosterol is able to develop the benefits of vitamin D with the help of sunlight to become more effective. This can cause blood pressure to drop and stabilize.

  4. Lowering Cholesterol
The benefits of oyster mushrooms containing lovastatin can help regulate circulating cholesterol levels in the blood. Then the content of beta-glucan, which is a form of water soluble fiber that is found high in oyster mushrooms can also affect cholesterol levels.
Beta-glucan functions to absorb cholesterol in the bloodstream. In addition, oyster mushrooms are also believed to be able to help lower triglyceride levels and blood sugar in diabetics.

  5. Prevent Cancer
A study published in the International Journal of Oncology in 2008, shows that supplements made from oyster mushroom extract can suppress the growth of breast and colon cancer cells.
The same supplement can also help prevent the spread of cancer cells to other parts of the body. Oyster mushrooms also contain betaglukan and glucoproteins which can increase the body's natural anti-cancer response.

  6. Source of Vitamin B3
The next benefit of oyster mushrooms is as a source of vitamin B3. This vitamin, which has another name, niacin, plays an important role in helping the growth, development and work of the organs in the body.
In addition, vitamin B3 is also tasked with helping to break down carbohydrates, fats and proteins from the food you consume so that they can be used as energy. Vitamin B3 is also believed to have the function of maintaining heart health and reducing bad cholesterol.

  7. Rich in Antioxidants
Other benefits of oyster mushrooms are that they can be a good source of antioxidants for the body. Antioxidants in oyster mushrooms can fight various bad effects caused by free radicals. Oyster mushrooms contain ergothioneine, which is an antioxidant that helps prevent inflammation. Then ergothioneine is also useful for preventing plaque formation in blood vessels that triggers heart disease and atherosclerosis.

  8. Helps Overcome Liver Disease
The last benefit of oyster mushrooms is that it can help treat liver or liver disease. Oyster mushrooms have antibacterial and anti-tumor properties that help neutralize toxins that enter the body. Oyster mushrooms are good for you to consume from various ages that are good for liver health.
