The best book to movie adaption is ‘The Hunger Games' trilogy. The movies were shit at such a large and grand scale that it kept the audience glued to the screen. The editing, the sets, the grandeur, it all made it seem like the Hunger Games universe had been brought to life, to a reality that people know is far-fetched but can’t help themselves to imagine the possibility of it’s existence. Then, there was the extraordinary cast, of Jennifer Lawrence playing the role of the powerful, strong and rebellious Katniss Everdeen, and dare I say she did justice to her role with her amazing delivery of dialogues and control if facial expressions with the overflow of emotions. It was almost as if she were our real life Katniss! Following the sweet, witty and manipulative Peeta Mallark played by Josh Hutcherson and the father-like figure to Katniss, Haymitch Abernathy, played by Woody Harrelson. The scenes in the movie were agonizingly beautiful and the best part was, the people who had read the books didn’t have the complaint that the movie had deviated from the original plot of the novel.

The whistle that was recreated for the movie was one that sent shivers in my spine as I wanted something in the movie to be reckoned with since I had my expectations high after reading all the books. Some of my favourite gut-wrenching scenes in the movies that I believe were really brought to life from the books were, Katniss volunteering as tribute to save her sister. The arena where the Hunger Games were held. Katniss’s words to the press when a hospital was bombed in front of her. And the ending of the movie series, where Katniss and Peeta’s traumas from the Hunger Games continued to haunt them but how they had managed to find sanity in the family they had started together.
Overall, the cinematography of the movie was brilliant, and once again, I believe the cast should be applauded as they managed to breathe life into the characters they were playing. I would definitely recommend if you want to watch a movie series that has been adapted from the books, watch The Hunger Games and it will compel you to read the books too.

Thank you for your participation @muzz21! Great review, there! As a fantasy lover, I am guilty of not reading or watching The Hunger Games but I really think I should at least watch the movies as you've mentioned they have maintained consistency with the book plot! Good luck!!
